So Pygmy rabbits are very solitary But, rabbits travel in pairs including the cottontail rabbit. It is rare for pygmy rabbit to breed in pairs . I heard some female animals can breed with many males.
Unlike lion or cheetah clubs, pygmy rabbits do not have those programs where people can volunteer to bring them home and take care of them since they are rather delicate creatures.
Normally small endangered animals are kept in zoos where there are veterinarians who can take care of their special needs.
Anyway, I can't be sure if our friend here have the license to care for pygmy rabbit, but if he/she don't, then it will be better to hand it over to the wildlife authority.
For breeding, they usually come in pairs, not often pick up (or flipped on their back) just to be filmed, always kept in zoos or wildlife reseach centers when under breeding program (and chances are the people there wear uniforms not home clothes).
Benefit of the doubt, yes... but do your research. Peace.
@deathstorm79 Wrong. IUCN Red List has listed Brachylagus idahoensis (Pygmy Rabbit) as "Least Concern." This is the farthest possible rating from endangered.

I hope you realised that Pygmy rabbits are endangered species and plan to hand it over to the wildlife authority.
