Hi, the original design called for automatic layer building, but this was omitted in this first prototype due to time constraints. I know the UW ME department has since completed further iterations but I’m not sure what all they’ve done. The current UW 3D printing team put together a website to highlight all the new stuff that they’re getting into. It’s pretty cool what they’ve been able to do. (open3dp.me.washington.edu)

I'd like to see some completed objects. How well does the sugar hang together? From the sound, I'm guessing you are using granulated sugar.
