This video, as nearly ALL videos labeled "transformer explosion", is mislabeled. No transformer explosions are to be seen. We see and hear first a low-voltage arc, then a high voltage arc, then silence and darkness. Actual transformer explosions look/sound nothing like that. @lonewolfintj And to be really honest, also the video you state as being an explosion of a transformer isn't really one: in that video, pressure-release valves of the cooling system dump the very hot cooling liquid (mostly oil) which vaporizes: because of the arc already present at the transformer, it ignites, creating a huge fireball: after that, a big fuse blows, which creates the bang.

This happens so much where I live I don't know why, it just happened again just now which influenced me to look on youtube for other incidents.
It really does explode a very bright blue that can potentially light up the sky if there's enough cloud cover
