  • Haha wow nice, did you saw the other cow at the background watching and thinking I don't wanna miss this moment lol.

  • That was amazing u guys did great and the pole helped alot

  • are you old enough to do tht?

  • they look like they dont know what they are doing i was taught only pull on the calf as the mother pushes other wise the mother can end up with paralyisis

  • i like the cat sittling watching at the back

  • at 3:29 does he stick his hand in her vigina :o

  • ANIMAL CRUELTYYYYYYYYYYY!

  • @MiMySeLfNsPnGbOb If a cow giving birth is animal cruelty, then women giving birth is abuse.

    >_>

  • @MiMySeLfNsPnGbOb

Shut up you pansy, this is coming from someone who loves animals.

  • Why don't they just leave the cow do it by itself? YOu know - muscles take time to dilate then contractions slowly push the calf out. Why pull it out?

  • Because if the baby is in too long it will suffocate.

And the stress could cause the mother to go into shock and she will die.

  • poor baby calf! has a rough time coming into the world, with those cow forceps! YOW!

  • Better a living calf than a dead one, the Vinc calving machine is a godsend in assisting with calvings, without them many calves would die, there are no complications or side effects from using the calving aid and all calves are up and jumping about within a few hours.. Cheers

  • That cow is just like whatever. lol

  • do cow know to push

  • @puccafall cows don't "know to push". It's a natural instinct that they are born with. Like people, they cannot control pushing, it just happens. The brain tells the womb to kick out a baby and that's what it does.

  • lol at the cow, she's just like, gtfo >>

  • Ive seen vids like this before where people 'help' the cow by pulling on the calf. Is this necessary?

  • i think its only when its taking too long and the cow's not making any progress, or when its a breach birth

  • its very necessary. Sometimes the cow can't do it all bye its self so its just kinda some extra help to speed things along, or cause its just taking a long time and its really not going anywhere

  • Yes. Sometimes traction is required.

  • If i were that kid id be running for my life throwing up all over the grass

  • notice how the cow does not turn to the bull and yell i hate you

this should be a guideline for all women having birth

    lol

  • fuck off, you pig.

  • Spot on mate LOL!!!!!

  • Does this calf live?

  • Aweeeee, cows are so pretty. Couldn't ever eat one. So, question...do they have difficult births without the help of people and how long does labour normally take without help from people?

  • omg cool

  • Tolle Bilder ... das ist nichts für Städter ...!

  • Poor cow's vagina!

  • Im lovin 3:31

  • dude in shorts chillin lol

  • sinalize this fuc****k as repugnant

  • you have to check for another baby. that's why they stick their hand up there! they use the bag so they don't get icky stuff all over their hand.

  • thats a nice calfing add youv got there

  • haha never seen a guy pulling of a calf wereing shorts

  • you alwayscheck after you pull out the calf for a second one, sometimes cows are carrying twins and its a rourine thing to do

  • PUSH DAMNIT!!! Lol

  • lol

  • Why would you stick your arm back there after the birth? Did you lose your watch

  • to take out the placenta and the remains

  • also checking for any other calves too.

  • do you have to pull the baby out of the mother? why can't you just let it naturally come out...?

  • answers simple: ALL milk cows today are overbreeded, they simple arent enable to do it, their either take to long and the baby dies, or it never come out.

can you imagine a milk cow to survive or even RUN in nature? i cant.

  • i think its the same reason why your mother give birth in a hospital i guess :S im not sure

  • that wuz retarded, and didnt even make sense...

  • Good job! did the baby have some health issues or was it just having problems breathing because some of the stuff on it was preventing breathing to go smoothly? Or was it just one of those things some animal babies go through were they are limp for a few secs to a min before getting up do to the body taking time after being out of the womb to start functioning on its own?

  • did he just fist the cow?

  • Daammmmnnn you're hott.

  • Ouch. How old are you?

  • Oh, sick...but awesome.

  • after that the cow is dead?

  • nope, the cow is not dead.

  • @gavinxxxx may I ask why you dont let it have it in a natural way ?

  • LOL, "is the cow dead?" x.x

  • Life on da farm!

  • i'm one of those city folks who doesnt know a lot about cows but i do know a lot about birth. i'm just curious - do they have to use that equipment every time? do they use that equipment on other animals or just cows?

  • nope, one doesn't have to use that equipment everytime. some cows have their babies the natural way, however, like humans, need assistance every once and a whie.

  • @StupidCrapForSoul they dont use the equpment everytime on cows depends on if shes having prolems or not they do use the same equipment on other animals to

  • Very well done to the people in this video, good job

  • Bull calves and first calf heifers can be a pain in the neck. You folks that say "go veg" don't have a damn clue as to what is put into getting heifers calved out, and the effort to get them to accept this thing that had just come out of their back end that they dunno what to do with.

Good job to those workin in the video!

  • Gavin I'm very impressed with how well you did

helping this new mom. You really look like you know exacactly what you were doing.

  • oops its not a cast

    forget about that last comment

    im an idiot

  • i would think that having a cast on your arm while doing this might hinder you a bit

  • wow, that ratcheting calf extractor thing made me gag

  • Wow, go veg.

  • go veg

  • Soap on a rope.

  • more farm related videos will start coming in about a month. final exams are in two weeks!!

  • ahhhhh presssss

    let it down cow

  • OMG I havposted so many comments regarding farm animals. I live on a ranch and its calving season and I have to help my dad pull them. All you city people calling him a retard or dumbass you have no idea what your talking about hes helping the mom. If he didnt the mom couldd die. All you city people need to shut up when you have no idea whats going on

  • yeah serioulsy my uncle used to pull his calves but now he has too many things to do and lets her have it herself. but the whole die thing, just because its a natural he had a cow give birth to twins and she didnt die. i think you can let it be done either way

  • we use tp pull calves on our farm alot too during calving season

  • i would suspect so.

  • The younger man was much better than the older man

  • poor cow i bet she is only 2 years old

  • all these city people callin him a dumbass and they dont even have a clue about whats goin on if he didnt pull the calf it probably would have died and not only that but the mother would have had a chance of dying

  • So it's better to tear up its insides by pulling it out.

  • Better than losing cow and calf because she gets worn out and goes out of labor without having the calf. It didnt hurt her that bad.

  • well thats good they helped her

  • what was wrong with leaving her to it? I'm sure she knew what she was doing

  • so cute!!!

  • That poor calf.....and mother...ouch....that would hurt.

  • Good job! I like that winch tool. Was the calf OK?

  • the thing with first time mother is that they are so tight. meaning it usually takes longer for the calves to come out. this one was alot tighter than the average and was hard on her and her calf. the bull had some fluid in it's longs but was fine after the mother licked it off.

  • i checked for another calf. sometimes.. there is one. =)

  • Damn she makes it seem soo easy..

  • why is it hard or something?

  • is what hard.

  • Giving birth

  • Giving birth

  • Giving birth

  • for cows, sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. if they are older cows that have gave birth before, it is usually easier. however, there are certain issues that come about just like in normal human births. if a calf is coming out backwards, then it is very rare for calf to be calved on its own. and for first time mothers, it is also very difficult because they are very tight. so it all depends on the circumstances.

  • you fail at sarcasm

  • well , its obvious that she's a first time mother .

  • you could not be more right.

  • call Mike Rowe, that's a dirty job!!!

  • Good work

  • poor cow, leave the cow alone!!

  • You're a dumbass.

  • she wouldn't have managed to give birth if they'd left her alone . she could die .

  • Not really true. It would of eventually pushed it out. The cow birth can be up to 2 hours long.

  • that young man isn't barefoot is he? Well that was an amazing video clip! The young man certainly seemed to know what he was doing! He should become a nurse and work in midwifery!

  • Good midwives leave well alone and let mothers labour in peace. I wouldn't let him within a mile of me

  • Funk - Seeing this makes me wish you had assisted with my birth. I expect nothing less with my first born.
