Wow, Ive listened to this 20 times today. Only knew her from Pete and Pete and had no idea she was a talented singer. The first time she started singing at :26 I said to myself, holy crap! Her voice is amazing! Almost shocking.

I met Syd Straw in 89 opening for Camper Van Beethoven. She sat down and spoke to us for about 10 minutes. I remember being stoned drunk. She offered to buy us beers, I turned the table on her, like the gentleman I am, and bought her a beer instead. Really cool and warm woman. I "remember" asking her about all the Palaminos and she gave me a rundown, to a man of each one. No Ego whatsoever, just a real nice gal with an Angels voice.
