Throwing such freaky synthesizer and an almost MJ-like beat into a Steve Miller song sounds like a terrible idea, but they made it work better than anyone could have expected. That kind of thing didn't work so well for Bruce Springstein, Stevie Nicks or Van Halen. Too bad not too many people remember this song. Thanks for posting!
I'd like to know why in nearly all the Steve Miller videos I've seen, they hide or have very limited views of the bass player, Gerald Johnson. He is one of the most respected and funky talented players in the industry currently touring with Dave Mason.

The Steve Miller Band have helped me through many dodgy bits of my life... Great songs REAL songs with only positive happiness and no sign of unnecessary depressive shite.
Did anyone else notice the live-performance issues though? I counted 5.
Keyboard guy has skills, dealing with whatever that was, lol.
(And lol, vocalist said something about sorting monitors out and "Tighten it up, bring it down"... Yup, better do that eh!?)
Steve's brother jim was a much more heavy artist makes steve sound pretty bubble gum for sure.his brother jim was like the next white hendrix and that's no joke...i probably have the only recordings of his brother back during the 70's and 80's..i don't think right now i will let the world hear him..jim passed away a few years back these are personal recordings that i keep to myself
