@BigEuan100 A leopard Gecko. they are not as jumpy as crested geckos. the 1 he has was a baby thats why she was more jumpy. Also leo's care is much easyier then crested geckos. And they are a lot cheaper for the overal price. Just remember if you get a leo sand/calciam sand can kill your leo. some leos are fine on sand and never have any problems but most do and its a big risk!
@HeartbrokenCarebear ZI know i found out its just my friend housed a crested gecko female and leopard gecko female together there whole life since birth so they got along
@jpog1289 It's not necessarily a matter of them getting along, it's the fact that they require COMPLETELY different care and habitat requirements. Leopard Geckos require more heat and less humidity, and Crested Geckos require a lot of humidity and not as much heat. The heat the Leopard Gecko require from day to day is actually enough to kill a crested gecko.
@GoofyPenguin525 What kind of terrarium are they in? A normal aquarium? Or a Zoomed or Exo?
I usually mist my tanks out every day a few times. You can alos put a water dish in, even though they will not drink from it, it will still help humidity. I also have a piece of plexiglass covering about 80% of the lid, that way there is less room for humidity to escape.
@bookreviewer2010 Yes, they do need another heat source. I would recommend keeping the enclosure at least 90 during the day, and a drop to 77-80 degrees at night will be fine.
I love how your tokays respond to you holding them.. you have an energy that let's them know they are safe.. glad i saw this video. I will be posting up a video of my tokay enclosure soon :)
@chichild1995 ether a leopard gecko or a bearded dragon id build one for a bearded and i have a twenty already that im going to get rid of the fish and clean it out for a gecko
@shannonvacovsky Thank you! I actually just redid their enclosure yesterday. I'll be making a new video soon for my geckos. I don't have my Crested anymore(gave him to a friend) But I have a new adult female Leopard, and a (now 3 week old) baby Tokay.
which of these three should i get cuz i have a 20gal high tank and i was planning on getting one of these three but cant really choose so do you have any suggestions? naice geckos btw
@Wannasnake For a 20 Gallon Tall, I would recommend a Crested Gecko. They are very easy to care for. A Leopard Gecko would work, but they don't require anywhere near that much height. And unless you have some pretty good experience with reptiles I wouldn't recommend getting a Tokay Gecko right away.
@HeartbrokenCarebear ohh ok thanks i was thinking of getting a crested since it was a high tank and yeaa your probably right, i should be more experienced to get a tokay and thanks btw nice vids
@haloooobeast Just because the tank looks dry, doesn't mean it isn't humid in there. Do you have a hygrometer?
Also, one way to keep in humidity, if your tank has a screen top, you can place a piece of plexi-glass or plastic over half the screen to keep more moisture in the tank.
@jmejia1 :) thank you. As for the training, I've been working with Fizgig for a few months. As for Shiva and Cyrus, I just got them both about a week ago, and Shiva is already tame. Gimme another 3 days and Cy will be the same way. :) I'll upload another video when they are all tamed out. :)
The one crested gecko in the 10 gallon is not sufficient enough! As they are an aborial species and need more height then length!

Can a crested and leopard gecko be in the same enclosure
jpog1289 10 months ago
@jpog1289 No. It is never smart to house different species in the same area.

do you know how to keep the humidity up in a crested gecko's tank? because every time I mist mine it just dries back up in 4-5 hours
