  • ok so this video proved nothing to oppose to the stereotype that british people have bad teeth. every person in the pictures is a celebrity so obviously they will have beautiful teeth. They have the money to pay for it and they have an occupation in which its a necessity. And to note, several of the them (like catherine zeta jones and cheryl cole) had actually terrible teeth and had them veneered when they became more famous.

  • I am British living in England and I will be 30 in April. I have a full set of near perfect straight and even teeth - 32 of them. I visit my dentist twice a year for a check up and twice a year to the hygienst. I pay Dencare by direct debit every month for this privilege. All my friends have good teeth - none of them have any missing.. I can't think of anyone I know, friends or family, who has bad teeth. If Americans enjoy perpetuating a myth then let them have their fun - who cares.

  • I've seen A LOT more Americans with bad teeth. Just go down to any southern states and... BAM!

  • English people have healthier teeth than Americans. You have the NHS. We have white strips.

  • Lol I'm British and have braces - my teeth are fine :)

  • plastic teeth , what are you bragging with

  • Technically brits have some of the best teeth in the world (when i say 'best teeth' i mean teeth with less decay). 0.6% of british kids have tooth decay, 1.2% of american kids have tooth decay. It just a stereotype that brits have bad teeth, its just like saying all Americans are fat.

  • All examples of simply brushing twice a day! unlike the yanks who spend thousands on bleaching!

  • How about you show someone that is not in the slightest wealthy or a Brit celeb....get some flouride ppl!!

  • @khrystleyez Well by doing that I think you'll prove the facts right. Tooth decay in British children is quite low. In the US it is 1.2% but in the UK it's 0.6%. Effectively meaning that tooth decay is twice as bad in the US yes?

  • that's not nice to say that's brits have bad teeth you guys just don't use braces there for Americans do and and i admit most of our population is fat some are not though and aren't all people lazy ohh well us Yankees and our big mouths lol

  • @TheNerdHerd2

Just goes to show how stupid you yanks really are, thanks for proving the stereotype. Braces are used in Britain, just like everywhere else in the world. The stereotype came from the mid 1900's when British schools used to employ a dentist, these dentist's were to say the least, butchers, and destroyed most mouths you come to rely on in very unwitty responses.

Oh dear, I truly am sorry I did not write that comment my friend how also from time to time uses this account wrote that. Please forgive me and she was being very stereotypical there and her comment in her eyes wasn't sent to offend, but I do totally agree with you since I myself am British and Americans are very much stereotypes, please forgive her rudeness.

I was rather brash in my reaction, but no harm done! *< :D Merry Christmas to you good sir and to your rather misinformed American friend

  • @markusrule

Thank you, and may you have a merry Christmas too :D
