  • Another fine song written by Arthur Q Smith,I like Marty"s version better than Hank,s but thats is just my opinion.

  • Just love that song from:

    "Marty Robbins".

What a voice and a lovely song.

    Amazing...!

  • Both Marty and Hank do this well and I love both but hank did own it and could make you cry. I own both versions and love them.

  • i met marty at the bluegrass fair in lexington ky back in the 70s,hell of a nice guy

  • I really like Marty but Hank owns him on this song....then again, Hank owns them all as he is the best that ever lived.

  • @basenjib123

I disagree. If you played people Marty's versions of the many songs that he sang that were associated with or written by Hank, I think Marty's would win hands down.

  • @tarquin45 listen to Conway sing this you might change your mind

  • @tarquin45 I think what you have to remember is that hanks songs were so raw,by the time people like marty came along,we had all the electronics to make them seem better hank never had that.

  • marty sure gives Hank Williams a run for his money on that song although Hank did a fine job but Marty out did him, great song great singer

  • ive heard heard marty BUT not this 1 thanks for posting tarquin45

  • could any please tell me where you could get his live dvd's from

    trevor

  • One of my very favorites. This is so much better than the new "stuff". Thanks for putting it up.

  • You can never get tired of listening to Marty,

    this 45 still sounds great.

  • One of the very FEW people who do Hank's songs REALLY well!!!

  • One of the best.

  • Marty Robbins will always be an all time great. However, this song still fits Hank Williams Sr. the best. Good steel work in here though. I want to see someone post Marty singing "Walking Piece of Heaven." I heard him sing it many times on the Grand Ole opry, & sung it during my wedding. Thanks for the post.

  • Love all Marty's songs so much, this one is great as all his other songs, and love the pictures of Marty too. Thankyou so much for posting. 5*****& fav.

  • Great--as all his songs!

  • Very "wondeful song"!!!!!

  • I totally agree with what you say jhtenvelde. The reason I posted this version by Marty is because it contains another verse which was not in his version on the album of the 50's 'Marty Robbins.'

Thanks to you too mishijos7, anyone who likes Marty Robbins has immaculate taste in my opinion!

  • Hi Tarquin!I'm realy glad that you post this song of Hank Williams sang by the great Marty Robbins.I love this song very much and I even love this song performed by Marty better than when Hank sang it,but that is personal. The voice of Marty is the best I ever heard.Thank you Tarquin for posting.

  • Wedding Bells, and all the video of Marty Robbins are great. I like them all. It was the songs we liked hearing on those nights listening to KOMA in Oklahoma City. Thanks for posting. Great songs!
