Er... You know, I really can't tell. Why don't you just look up the translated lyrics and decide for yourself? One of the joys of Dir en grey is trying to figure out what the heck Kyo is trying to get across.

I take a look at lyrics and I think it's about people who are doing awful things in the name of the "God" and about people who are "believers", but are bad persons...like asking "Would believer be punished for his bad akts's?"

I saw the illustration in kyos poem book and it was pretty provoking and dark. So I don't think they are christians even though they wear christian symbols and so on, I think it's because of the atmosphere. Like in a live version of Hydra 666 there were candles and Maria statues to effect the special atmosphere also kyo wears a buddhistic band but I don't think they are religious, it's the style..

He generally doesn't seem to be referring to a religious god when he says stuff like that. It's generally directed towards the people themselves, like the messed up things done in the name of god. He often seems to refer to our desires as god as well.

Grief - while a pretty kickin' and intense song - is a pretty poor example of band maturity. The music is pretty good, but not anything particularly unique or out of the ordinary, and the lyrics are just... well, stuff in broken English, including a truckload of "fuck"s.

Si si, I'm just saying that I'd prefer to see them going in that slightly more "rock"y direction (they did, to some degree, do this with Disabled Complexes, which I consider one of the highlights of TMOAB) rather than trying to go all-out heavy on us.

Hey, they're free to do whatever they want. (: It's their band, their music, their time and their choice, so if they keep making songs I find compelling, I'll keep listening, and if they don't, I'll just find something else to do. =P
