Markus Klugier (b.1907 Auschwitz, Poland - d. 2004 Tel Aviv) was a hard working man who had no opportunity to develop his talent and love for Yiddish songs. He knew Mordechai Gebirtig personally and sang all his songs on family gatherings. He passed on his musical gift to his daughter and grandchildren. He was 90 when the recordings on Youtube were made. His grandson plays the leading guitar.
