the air that went up the blowback system comes back down to the main piston before all the air goes to push the bb out.. (i might be wrong, but in the animation, im sure of this)

@TheFinalFrame actually, it doesn't. look, at 0:41, the pressure of the piston forces air to leak into the upper bolt mechanism cylinder. however, it's a low pressure air leak, which is easily overcome by the spring up there. as you can see at 0:44, the air is actually fed BACK into the cylinder cavity before the shot is completely executed. pretty neat.

this does not use extra battery power nor do you really lose bb velocity. it is called pneumatic blowback because it uses air, not extra gears and a motor. the blowback action looks pretty damn cool but thats all it is good for...looks.

Part of the air that would be used to propell the BB is used to move the fake bolt, and that's all. And it generates no kick at all. Toko Marui's Recoil Shock is much better.

You can see that the spring in the blowback chamber pushes that air back into the main chamber, so it wouldn't have any effect on the FPS.

gotta disagree with that - some of the energy that would be used to propel the BB is being used to compress that spring. I have disassembled my gearbox in order to upgrade the wiring and I reckon i might just block up that nozzle at the top of the cylinder to prevent the pneumatic blowback. should get a quieter action and a greater muzzle velocity. (no longer too fussed about the 'realistic sound')

Hop-up puts pressure on the top of the BB to create backspin when it's blown out of the chamber and down the barrel. When properly adjusted, this allows for longer relatively flat trajectories.

Its like GBB system modified for an AEG. Stronger spring than is needed. and the spring for the recoil system is probably very weak.

i think the reason they can still get conssitant fps is because they have taken in to considereation the size of the cylinder for the blow back system and just use a bigger spring to conpensate

This blowback system is genius, but flawed. How does the air push the piston up top without losing FPS? Wouldn't over 30% of the air flow be deviated to the hole on top of the gearbox? The spring within the gearbox would have to be an m130 to keep the FPS at a non-constant 380 FPS with this system, based off an educated guess...

It looks to me as if they are suggesting that there is a second piston with an O ring on the top and that piston, after being pushed back by the air pressure from the initial movement of the piston, is pushed back into the cylinder before the main piston head passes the hole up, so that the air is pushed back into the system. I can't even imagine this working correctly in a real setup though.

Although according to de video the air used to do the blowback comes back impulsed by the small spring... I still think that this just "easthetical" thing will decrease the power of the gun by deviating the air work in the piston chamber to 2 places instead of one...and also, a new mechanism = a new mechanism than can break and cause more manteinance problems...
