I just got my ps3 yesterday and I think the Internet even though it is free is horrible compared to xbox's but ps3 is more exclusive. But then again halo and gears of war are amazing games. So for those of you who only have ps3 get an xbox or play at a friends, totally worth it.

@MegaSuperPWN Sver has the easiest to use weapons, Raven has the most powerful weapons, and Valor has balance between the two. Personally I play my best on Sver, but I am envious when I see all of Ravens sweet gear.

This game did revolutionized a lot of first person shooter games. It is a good game and it is sad to see it slowly die though. I personally would play this game for twelve hours straight then play MW3 or BF3 for just one hour
@foolishfate Planetside wasn't on a little box with so little power 24 people is pushing it. Them managing 256 people on a home console was a major feat, and it was all on one CD. PlanetSide was a whole MMO and on PCs, that scale was expected, but for a console, that was never even dreamed of until this game.

So the Xbox360 had nothing to degrade Battlefield 3 in anyway. For CoD, the creators left the studio because of Activision and the whole law suit deal. Besides the largest fanbase of CoD and Battlefield is on the Xbox 360 and that's a fact.Please get your facts straight.

@btoiscool I was aware of them changing the lead systemm, but still, if you looked at all of the gameplay footage and the facts before they switched the lead system to console, nothing really changed at all. When they switched the lead system, they needed to see what they needed to do to run BF3 as best they could. So they just turned down the player count, graphics, and maps. Besides even if the Xbox 360 was the real lead system at first, it would only require 1 disc, but BF3 requires 2 discs.
i've just played mag again ... waited 1 minute to get into a game ... game took me 10 minutes. Games in Mag can take you 7-60 minutes and waiting times differ from game type to game type. But you can select multiple Battles to queue for!

@soaponaroapDG It's not that the PS3 is limited, or that it would piss off Microsoft. It's the fact that DICE still primarily develops for PC, and their audience is still PC centric. They were building this game from the start for PC, regardless of what their PR says, (I know they said they developed the two titles seperately from the beginning) they are trying to push for more gaming PC sales and bring it back as a dominating platform.
This is why the PS3 could probably handle 64 players, or 32, why not? The console can obviously deal with large numbers of players, we have this, and resistance games as evidence, and the Dice servers can handle more players running on higher settings, so no problems there... Is it because it would just piss. Off Microsoft?
to the ones buying this , if you think you get not much of money and xp in the game , just wait until youre in a higher lvl , in domination ( 256 Players ! ) you get more xp
I just got a PS3 for christmas and got Uncharted 3, resistance 3, revelations and a crack in time...I really like shooters but people say this one isnt that good. I like how it looks but is everyone here speaking the truth? Is the game worth buying?
@Lannnyto MAG is worth buying, i sit in a lobby (suppression match) for about 30 seconds, but in domination round (256 player match) it's a bit longer, the gameplay is great (if you can avoid snipers) and the weapons can be modified you can be on 3 different teams (only pick one) Valor Raven or S.V.E.R. but you can buy a slot to be another team for 99 cents. and still have the other player
This is a GREAT game people. The only reason some people think it sucks is bec. they never give it enough time. A game mode like Domination that was demoed in the video above, is SO SO complex. With all sorts of things going on, Airstrikes, Vehicles, tons of infantry, 3 main objectives, and other Assets you need to Defend/Destroy. You really need to understand the game, and give it its time. I'm not saying the game is perfect either, it has flaws. But definitely a worth buying game :)

@Tanis350 I don't play often because i'm not gona bother waiting over an hour to try an get in a domination match since almost no one even plays the game anymore last time i tried i left my ps3 on for over a half an hour came back looked at the queve or whatever you call it and the numbers of players didn't change at all.
@DinoHunter2 they said they would have to cut vehicles in bf3 just to add 12 more players to servers... this game still looks this good with 265 people, this game does not look like a Nintendo 64 game, mag maps are also bigger which takes up more space... just like what you say about battlefield can be said about mag... if they drop there max player down the game would look better... but bf team makes it seem like adding just 12 more people in the game would mess up the game...

Everyone who plays console needs to do this, just go on twitter type Battlefield 3 and ask them to fix this fucking problem if we all complain they will have to listen.
@Tj1056 because bf3 has destroyable buildings and planes, helicopters, and hugely better graphics than mag does. Also, mag animations are very bland, unlike BF3, and not as smooth.

@Tj1056 Good point! Its all because of the engine of the game. EVERYTHING about the game is because of the engine. BF3's engine is too powerful for the ps3, especially the older versions, to hangle 265 people or to even handle 65. Not saying MAG is bad or anything.

they should rename this SIL (sit in lobby) because thats where you'll spend the majority of your time waiting 30min- 5 hours for a match to start especially now after christmas because santa gave everyone bf3/mw4. the wait times is why the game ended up in the bargain bin, it was a massive developmental fail

@soaponaroapDG It's not that the PS3 is limited, or that it would piss off Microsoft. It's the fact that DICE still primarily develops for PC, and their audience is still PC centric. They were building this game from the start for PC, regardless of what their PR says, (I know they said they developed the two titles seperately from the beginning) they are trying to push for more gaming PC sales and bring it back as a dominating platform.

This is why the PS3 could probably handle 64 players, or 32, why not? The console can obviously deal with large numbers of players, we have this, and resistance games as evidence, and the Dice servers can handle more players running on higher settings, so no problems there... Is it because it would just piss. Off Microsoft?

I just got a PS3 for christmas and got Uncharted 3, resistance 3, revelations and a crack in time...I really like shooters but people say this one isnt that good. I like how it looks but is everyone here speaking the truth? Is the game worth buying?

@Lannnyto MAG is worth buying, i sit in a lobby (suppression match) for about 30 seconds, but in domination round (256 player match) it's a bit longer, the gameplay is great (if you can avoid snipers) and the weapons can be modified you can be on 3 different teams (only pick one) Valor Raven or S.V.E.R. but you can buy a slot to be another team for 99 cents. and still have the other player

This is a GREAT game people. The only reason some people think it sucks is bec. they never give it enough time. A game mode like Domination that was demoed in the video above, is SO SO complex. With all sorts of things going on, Airstrikes, Vehicles, tons of infantry, 3 main objectives, and other Assets you need to Defend/Destroy. You really need to understand the game, and give it its time. I'm not saying the game is perfect either, it has flaws. But definitely a worth buying game :)

@DinoHunter2 they said they would have to cut vehicles in bf3 just to add 12 more players to servers... this game still looks this good with 265 people, this game does not look like a Nintendo 64 game, mag maps are also bigger which takes up more space... just like what you say about battlefield can be said about mag... if they drop there max player down the game would look better... but bf team makes it seem like adding just 12 more people in the game would mess up the game...

@Tj1056 because bf3 has destroyable buildings and planes, helicopters, and hugely better graphics than mag does. Also, mag animations are very bland, unlike BF3, and not as smooth.

@Tj1056 Good point! Its all because of the engine of the game. EVERYTHING about the game is because of the engine. BF3's engine is too powerful for the ps3, especially the older versions, to hangle 265 people or to even handle 65. Not saying MAG is bad or anything.
