THE STAFF are & were volunteers even if they were doing it secretly for their free auditing the fact that they signed up as a volunteer staff member automatically forgoes their right to backpay. Any logical thinking person who didnt like the rules of this religion could have just left ages ago if any of them had a soul or brain instead of waking up through internet. Church of S is classed as a religion not a business at the time of them signing. Tax the church to the govt not pay individuals.

How can these people be entitled to back pay when they were going on staff voluntarily so they could get free auditing that members had to pay through the nose. If the staff get back pay then any member is entitled to back pay on all their books and materials that they bought there. & I cant see David Miscavige from america coughing up back pay for volunteer staff in Australia. These people knew the choises they had when they decided to get free auditing for their selfish gain & now they want $.

I suggest we ignore the intended distraction and cocentrate on the point of the video-that the CoS treats even staff like crap, pays them nothing, has them sign a contract promising them money, would make them pay a freeloader debt if they left, has Tommy Davis lie that they are paid a living wage and now turns right around and claims that staff are all "volunteers and not entitled to anything.

these volunteers were billboards at best they virtually wore yellow smiley faced masks saying how can I rip you off today. Thats why these days Cof$ employs Asians & migrants who cant speak own own language or tell you directions 2 streets away or bother to know our culture from immigration. @midguardz I never was a Scientologist. I have no personal interest in the Church of Scientology other than a desire to see justice done for ALL the victims and the organisation brought into compliance with the law and with morality.

How do u know about pan determinism? That's high level nomenclature within the church & to know that level is more that just googling it. These staff members were only given these volunteer jobs to fill out the room for more advertising. Thus no wages for being billboards. they don't actually do much besides having to fill in the long hours they could just all wear a yellow smiley faced mask basically filling out false wins on being able to rip someone off better than their other staff leeches.

@midguardz Re pandeterminism - I've done lots of research. And a Scientologist once told me I had acted with pandeterminism, so I looked it up specifically.

As for the "volunteers" - You're confusing "volunteer ministers" with the staff. And, the "church" didn't always provide toilet paper in its facilities. There's no way that it provided nappies for a staff member's child.

Where is Aaron Saxton? it seems he has just taken thousands of $ people donated to him to fight a worthy cause saying he wanted to fight the AVOs from Cyrus Brookes & Sue Hunt. Now he's disappeared around the world vacation & removed all his channels. these people are just out for themselves but when they joined the religious staff they did it to help others & if they weren't there for the right reasons & just sheepishly there to sponge free auditing then that is their stupidity & misguided evil

Janet Lang DD & other staff had a rough time but exmembers had it worse. DD & many of these people just going for their own selfish wages don't even go to the protests with anon & no doubt there are plenty of other ex staff vultures just waiting in the wings to try & clawback what they think they should be entitled too. when are these selfish people going to realise the tax free status is not lifted as Cof$ is still classed as a religion & not a business thus have no award system > I know plenty of people who work on staff in Christian ministries under award wage. if ex scio staff get back any extra pay then that opens floodgates for every other religion to pay back pay & it would eventually bankrupt the Christian churches too although it would take a lot longer to sell all their gold they stole over the ages

exmembers would also sue because some of them had the opportunity to work on staff as an alternative to paying through the nose being ripped off by people like Detheridge for the privilege so damned if I get to see him or any other exstaff like him get paid whilst I had decided to pay through the nose as a member & he got his commission & courses & auditing for free. We all had free will to decide how we were going to fund the courses. However courses not delivering what they say is the issue!

@midguardz I hear your anger at the wrong done to you. You're right to be upset if you paid for something and were promised a result that didn't eventuate. I guess, the thing is that as much as public Scientologists were under duress, the staff were even more. So, they are victims too.

they weren't victims as much as the members as they had the privilege of reading books how to rip off members as Detheridge & his wife had confessed to Brian Seymore. I worked on staff for a short period but because I didn't like the idea of fooling the public & had a conscience unlike DD & others, I decided to pay for these things rather than sponge off the church & get free auditing plus they were working to get the Cof$ saint hill size so they could get all their upper levels for free too.

Senate inquiry is about arresting certain individuals within past & present staff who have done wrong to past members. Staff were volunteers & they know it. S.I. isnt about staff members get backpay. Dethridge ripped off hundreds of people so if he's going to get backpay then other members can sue his backpay for ripping off his members to buy overpriced books & tapes. There's no way Cof$ could ever pay back the staff & it would just be a shit fight between the past members & the past staff

Why don't the Government just look at the welfare/public assistance records against the tax records to see if there are a high amount of people who received public assistance benefits? If there is coincidental occurrence of it then the cult would be out of Australia.

This is very welcome, BUT remember what Nancy Many talked about: when inspection times rolled around, she saw that the cult always had advanced warning and would rearrange things to appear to be OK, then put them back to "normal" afterward and continue on with SOP.
