Awww, cute little guys. I have two ferrests and they had a fight with an ermine and the ermine was seriously injured. We rehabiltated him but he stuck around our house for a while. He was tons more active than the ferrets and I must say he as more playful too.

These are cubs. I caught an adult weasel when I was a child and it gave me a few good bites, but these are naive, friendly and calm.

Generally weasels do not make good pets, they're aggressive, tempramental, and possessing a very offensive odor (yes they do bite, hard and vicious). Their cousins, the ferret, make much better pets.

Anyone considering FERRETS should contact an experienced local owner see them in all their messy glory.I have 2 and while they are lively and fun they require a LOT of work to maintain. Do not think these are cats or rats. They eat a ton ($), so they do a LOT of poop - very often where they shouldn't & even fixed they have a strong odor and if they decide they don't like your pets/children they will require separation. Lastly, don't take pet advice on ferrets from someone trying to sell you one!

If they poop excessively, try switching to 8 in 1 Ferret kibble, it is reasonably priced and has the highest protein level from meat over any other Ferret kibble. They should slow down a lot in their pooping frequency and it tends to not smell as much as with the other foods. :)

@SmokeyTee this isnt all true i own 2 female fixed ferrets and they do not stink that much if they r clean and theyre cage is clean and they are on a proper diet,if they are on a proper diet they usally only eat 3 pounds of kibble per month,if they are on a meat diet they dont poop near as much,mine always go in the little boxes,if they are bathed regurley they dont stink to much,ferrets and other pets dont always mix but 99.9% of the time they love kids until the kids hurt them

I own a ferret (I love her so much) and she is so clean & well behaved, she only ever goes in her litter box and when she does go out of her litter box (which is rare) It is very easy to clean. And as long as I wash all her bedding once every 2 weeks her cage doesn't stink at all. I'm sure that it's different for two ferrets, and not all are the same. but mine is a perfect pet, and I would recommend getting a ferret to anyone ;D

@SmokeyTee ferrets aren't THAT hard to take care of. I've had 5 in seven years (most of them giveaways), and I think they're easier than dogs but a bit harder than cats. People with small children should get other pets, and they are a bit expensive in their elder years.

@littl3x Once I get home from school, I just take both of mine out and watch them play with one another. They are easier to litter train than cats, I believe. Mine just go into the single litter pan that they have in their cage and also go on a pee pad that is put in one specific area, when I take them out. The only frustrating part about them is the mischief they can get into. Despite their stubby legs they can certainly climb. :P
