  • I went to self-taught route with mnemonics and I'm "consuming" about 30 a day on average (up to 80 a day, and lowest probably 5). Nom nom nom. Gimme the Kanji!

  • It's Japanese Sesame Street!!! This needs English subtitles fr thse trying to learn Japanese.

  • *for those

  • very cool. thanks.

  • 日本人真的對漢文化保留的非常好

    類似刀光劍影等眾多成語也還保留在日本漢字中

  • 日本語って難しいですか?

  • はい、そうですね! 中国語も難しいです。:-)

    (Sorry, I don't speak Japanese...)

  • 解释的很详细,不过照这个教法,日本的小孩一辈子认的汉字大概还不够读懂一本简单的中文书-不过在日本认一百来个汉字大概就够过日子了吧

  • I LOVE KANJI!

  • great kids program

  • Wow! Thank you so much for posting this. The Japanese is on a level that I (as a beginner) can understand, and it also teaches the kanji pretty well! 5 stars.

  • 好有趣啊 ^_^啊哈

  • 光

  • 呵呵,有点意思。

  • It is impossible to write decent Japanese without mastering several thousand Kanji. You might as well like Kanji if you are going to have any hope of becoming proficient at Japanese in its written form.

Hating Kanji is childish. The Japanese are not going to ditch Kanji any time soon. Learn those little pictures and find as much enjoyment as possible while you do it.

  • I LOVE THIS PROGRAM

  • 有趣!

  • 剣剱劍劎劒劔 剑

  • 劍is the traditional form of sword in Chinese character right?

  • @marantf you are right. now we get three different styles (or even more) of this single character. Trditional Chinese: 劍 Simplified Chinese: 剑 Kanji: 剣.

  • That's pretty cool, haha. I'd love to watch this on TV. :D

  • The scenes with the stick figures seem like a more kid-oriented equivelent of Xiao Xiao.

  • I will forever have the kanji for "hikari" stuck in my head thanks to this video!

  • 今私は漢字を勉強しています。とっても難しいと思います。ビデオをポストしてくれてありがとうございます。

  • Not bad, understanding japanese is far easier than learning kanji.

  • I don't a single word in Japanese but I loved the vid !!!

  • heheh I think I got the first parrt. =]I only know a little chinese to read kanji

  • ^^ *laugh* 好きね~...

  • this is great !!!

  • AHH>< i hate kanji... i've been learning japanese for about 7 months... they teach us 8 new kanjis EVERYDAY!!!

    >。<漢字大大大大大嫌いよ~...日本語の中で一番難しいよね、毎日8つの新しい漢字を勉強してる...

  • haha~ unfortunately if you don't learn kanji properly, you can't really make complex sentence without it~~

  • Try to learn them with mnemonic hooks (if not done before). I learn chinese Kanji (Hanzi) and they are not difficult at all if you know how to learn them effectively. Try this site:

    kanji (dot) koohii (dot) com

  • uber cool! I learned fireman, samurai, sword, and was the last one fight?

  • It's like Sesame Street, but with real characters! haha.. I make myself laugh...

  • this is a really educational clip for all those who are studying japanese! thanks for sharing~~ XD
