  • What???

  • This Was a waste of my time. and Mazdabee, Einstein once said "Common sense isn't so common." I Realize its true every dad.

  • Relays don't always show that there is a problem until a high current is flowing! that is why it is recommended to check high current circuits with a headlight!

  • no wonder he has a busted finger....he is an idiot. swap them out. u truck.

  • If you're gonna talk for 2.5 minutes at least tell us how that finger got so ugly! ....Brah!

  • You talk too much sir lol.

  • Terrible.....just terrible information. Anybody with a litlle common sense know that

  • Thanks for such simple explaination. You are a Master Mechanic and did a job putting it simple for average people. Thanks

  • hello world. the best and fastest way to test a relay is. find your horn relay..... honk horn.... if it makes a honk it a good relay........ then put any frikin relay you want to test in the horn relay slot and honk the horn again........ if it honks then its a good relay!!!!!

  • If a relay is bad the engine won't start at all? Or will it just give trouble but still start?

  • @FahimMotoGP It depends on what relay is bad. If your horn relay is bad, the engine will start but your horn won't work.

  • 2:11 to tell us to try a similar relay...overwhelmed. A 10 second loop of just that would have done better, maybe to a techno beat.

  • The reading should drop to 0 if not really close, which indicates its flowing freely.

Typically when you attach the power source and don't hear a click you've got a bad relay.

    Hope this helps.

  • Its alot more complex to test a relay if you've never done it before. You'll need a multimeter, a 12v power source (car battery) and some small cables to attach the power source to the relay. As an example one common on GM vehicles, you would attach the power source to the prongs numbered 85 and 86. When you do this you should hear a click, with your multimeter set to Ohms(measuring resistance) you touch the prongs numbered 30 and 87.

  • black finger nails and shit

  • Yeah, thanks for nuthin

  • Master Mechanic? So how do we check if a relay is bad? Just replace it with another one?

    Not much info here.
