  • Ha ha! I recently bought one of these myself. I just can't wait for it to arrive in Japan, so I can lay my hands upon it, and look all over it.

  • 4:53 O mój Boże

  • Wow. Right now I am sitting down on my Macbook Pro with my iPod touch 2G and on the other side of my desk is a Macintosh 512K. :D

  • Is that a trackball mouse?

  • one time I think i heard that the "Apple" Logo (on the lisa) was (re) designed by monkeys

  • oooo...I wanna have one...its something which..everybody want's .. . . which windows has it got??hhahahhahahha

  • en: super MOUSE!

    pl: super MYSZKA!

  • Lucky, I wish I had one.

  • 1:06 sounds like my grandma when she is digesting food

  • Chuck some more coal into it and it will go faster. Nice Lisa Though.

  • que antigooo o meu eo imac 27 pol

  • love the bright power light and also love the sounds its making @_@

  • sigh... i miss the good ol days ... back when computers were a really fun, new and almost mysterious hobby ...

after seeing War Games, the Last Starfighter and others, I was hooked

back then pre-internet, it was only friends BBS's you could connect to with your 2400 baud modem ... times sure have changed

  • will this run crysis?

  • PCs and even MACs will never load this fast unless there is a major breakthrough in computer technology. Every OS gets bigger and bigger and more complex so it takes way more memory and power to boot them up. Yeah this old Lisa is faster but its also dealing with literally 10's of thousands less software.

  • @Nopartyforme1 Yeah? Have you seen a recent Amiga with its 4.1 OS? It boots in 9 seconds. Furthermore, popular Linux distributions like Ubuntu are close to a 10 second boot time on a normal PC.

  • glad I live on the 2000s...

  • where can i buy apple lisa?

  • @78Boza

eBay and remember to prepare 10000USD or higher to buy.

  • @78Boza ebay

  • PLZ TELL ME WHERE I CAN BUY APPLE LISA ?????????ANSWER

  • @klisius Not fake you moron. Why does someone claim every video is a fake?

  • Me want...

Oh well, my SE is enough.

  • how much ram Lisa have???

  • oh my god still works, do that with a today computer ^^ !!!

  • hahaa woww

  • very clunky but oldfashioned

  • i use an emulator its a lot cheaper than just getting the real thing but i have an apple 2 emulator in colum mode (the mode where you script) if someone could tell me how to use it that would be great (i cant find a lisa emulator:( )

  • u can get a lisa emulator download mini v mac and get a lisa disk image and thats how u do it

  • Does it fit in an envelope?

  • wow sounds like a stepper motor hard drive inside

  • It probably brought-in a lot of yen, since Lisas of any type are rare and expensive.

In fact, the cheapest I saw for one was roughly $300 US.

  • When is Apple going to release this? I want one.

  • it has been released i just don't think they sell it anymore

  • It's over 20 years old, goddamnit! lol

  • you really do not get sarcasm do you...

  • nope

  • The Apple Lisa was released in 1983, and the Lisa 2 was released in 1984. Both have been discontinued for 25 years.

  • @GimmeSomeRockNRoll lisa 2 was 1985 :P

  • 4:56 classic CRT shutdown

  • I love the microwave:)

  • So were do I plug in my iPod? :P

  • like that beep at the start. it's like an even older version of the mac sound.

  • Why would you sell something so beautiful? This was clearly the most advanced computer until Macintosh SE.

  • Eh.. I'd have to say this was still more advanced then SE considering the fact that it could multi-task when Mac SE could not

  • this was a very advanced computer in its time

  • So old but yet still faster than most pcs.

  • @NerdSupport Yeah all this new hardware at yet we keep making a better os so that computers run slow

  • @NerdSupport

Yep It's quicker than Windows Vista

  • does the Lisa mouse in the video work with the original Macintosh?

  • no, it's got a different connector. It's been a while since I sold it, but if I remember correctly it had a 9 pin serial connection kind of like a PC serial connection.

  • both the Mac and the Lisa used a DE-9 port for the mouse. it also said that they are completely interchangeable.

i would like to see a picture or a video of a Mac with a Lisa mouse.

  • The original mac, Mac 512, and Plus and the Lisa share the same DB-9 mouth connector.

  • Now LOS?

  • does it HD video? ;)

  • that hard drive sounds like is's gonna explode!

  • No bootsound? :(..

    Btw.. 20 comment!

  • It makes the bootsound after it does its hard drive check at the beginning. It took all that time before it even bothers to check the OS

  • maybe a macintosh can used a boot sound but not apple lisa

  • How much are they worth these days? I have one that hasn't been booted up for over 20 years!

  • Wow, compared to the new iMac, LISA looks like crap.

  • The hard drive sounds like gears meshing together, like clogs.

  • That's how harddrives used to sound back in the day, both on Macs and PCs.

  • Yeah, I know. Sometimes I wish we still had these computers.

  • Sounds like a Miniscribe Mechanism.

Those things where LOUD!!! Had a 20GB Miniscribe on my Commodore 64 BBS, and if I didn't hear the drive at midnight while it did automaint, I knew the board had crashed.

  • does the lisa have a start up chime like the mac does?

  • No, the LISA didn't have speakers.

  • In this video the LISA did not. I don't know.

  • Memories of my Classic fill my mind.

  • didnt lisas cost USD $9,995

  • dont be suprised if your window is smashed and theres an iou were that is!jk lol nice video

  • i wish i had the money for this...The heating issues could be circumvented by putting a fan near a vent, propably.

  • What heating issues?

  • That computer must have had the Sun20 or Sun40 hard drive in it. The original Widget drive sounds different... and is much slower :P

  • This a great film. It has a very unexpected ending, but still manages to tie the plot together nicely.

  • yeah, it was pretty cool for the short time that I had it, but it would have been nice if it had the Lisa OS installed, rather than the Mac OS. I was seriously considering doing the conversion but it would have taken a lot of work (you have to get different rom chips, and convert the screen back to the original aspect ratio). Still, it made for a great conversation starter.

  • Inspiring, truly inspiring.

  • i must say, i saw that on ebay and i really want it because vintage computing intrests me, but i just don't have 500$ to spare.

  • oldschool and very cool XD

  • I have to say, the thing I'm going to miss most about this computer is that kick ass power button. Best power button on a computer, hands down. I mean come on, the damn thing freakin' lights up!

  • sweet
