  • Nice version, but still PP&M's reign supreme!

  • Really really nice version. I remember her so well. Being a teenager in the 60's was a gift from God.

  • This is just gorgeous, tingling all over version ! It would be just perfect with some film or some old locos...

  • This is just gorgeous, tingling all over version !

  • have you noticed that what the world needs now is the only song low quality?

  • Magic! What a beautiful "break" in her voice - real feeling. Can't get too much of Jackie. Thanks for posting.

  • I have never heard her version of this wonderful old song before. This is such an incredible song I have always loved it since I was a kid. I was recently inspired to attempt to sing it myself. I am very much just an amature singer but I would be pleased if the people who like this song would stop by my channel and give a listen to my rendition.....Terry

  • WoW Never heard this before now ! Thanks

  • @Dustyrustee It was at the KLIF Summer Sound Spectacular in 1963 at the Dallas Memorial Auditorium . I was 13 and probably the youngest kid to have gotten close to the stage. She was very fashionably dressed in a light pastel green outfit and I have no recall of what anyone else wore except Kirby St Romain because he was so greasy and had no talent whatsoever. I believe he is a comedian these days.

  • The first LP I ever had was Jackie De Shannon and 500 miles. The story around this time makes a novel. My dream is to see Jackie in concert.I'll keep on dreaming.

  • sweet. My cousin went to Batavia junior high school in 1967-68. She worked at Barber Greene in 1974. It was cool times. She was friends with Karla.

  • I saw her perform live in the summer of the year the album this was on was released.

  • @barflew lucky you...really...

  • This song was on my first ever LP. Brings back the greatest memories.I would travel more than 500 hundred miles to see Jackie in concert.

    Peace and Love
