@doedel234 well you can just get out of here and not watch the freaking thing! we work hard, our horses work hard. Do you think that if the horses are forced to obey? Well your WRONG, if our horses didn't want to do it then they would either buck, rear, or spook. The refusals at those fences were because the horse was scared so what! when you were little did you feel more comfortable with someone else, yes, but what if that person was scared (nervous) as well? You wouldn't feel better.

The riders were nervous to could you imagine riding on a 1500 pound animal and jumping a 6 foot solid object going at least 15 miles per hour, maybe 5 feet off the ground and in your mind you picture yourself flying over the jump without the horse? Great video, you really show what part of our sport is about, overcoming challenges and reaching deep inside for a strength to achieve all. i'm sorry but this is my opinion. I completely disagree. It takes just as much to ride western than english and the definition of equestrian is: Of or relating to horseback riding or horseback rider. That means that anyone that rides is an equestrian. Most people refer to equestrians as any type of rider whether english or western.

you know, the people that say that, the ONLY horse riding experience they've ever had is on some trail ride where the horses are trained to follow the butt in front of them and that is it. and ALL the do is walk the entire time. put them on a REAL horse and see what they make of that. my friend brought a friend from school to ride her pony and she was like "omg this is so easy" so i was like "ok, go canter, just squeaze and he'll go" cuz her pony was hyper. yeah. she fell off after 2 strides

My friend she owns her own horse right.. says she can do everything.. jump.. canter blah blah..n she goes on n on bout how easy it is... i came to her place one day n she walked round telling me how easy it was n i tld her too canter n before her horse got to a canter she fell off.. so she tried again managing 2 strides before falling.
