@TheRazorbackguitar hold down the rectangular marquee tool, then another box will open, wilst holding your mouse drag down to the tool you want, works with all the tools with the little arrow in the bottom right corner, hope i helped :)
man the one u made in this vid was ugly compaired to the one at the start we seen, and u sounded depressed, but it was a good vid and its a cool effect
maybe somebody can help me i'm using ps cs4. I wanna create picture where object which are placed in center are B&W , but us more to pictures boarder than more colours are visible (smooth coulor blend from B&W to colours)
Great Tutorial. I have one problem though, where can I find pictures like the ones use in your tutorials? I have looked everywhere; Goggle, Yahoo, Flickr, iStock , etc. All the other tutorials I see on Youtube about Photoshop have like perfect pictures that are like made for 'Photoshoping'.
Like if I search car, pictures of cars that are standing on the street or at a show with a lot of people around or a car in grass. If I search a man, not clear or whole. Sometimes; hand, head, torso!
Siiiick tutorial. i used this to make a logo for my school that one a contest. all i did was use a 300 pixel eraser and soften it up all the way. then i just held it in the middle, and put my school logo in the middle. Btw my school is red and white, so a little color adjustament made is look awesome. Thanks!!!!!!!
this was good thanks for posting. dont mind me saying but next time try not to use such a monotone. i like the tutorial but some sound variation would be awesome either way 5/5
this is fantastic but there is an easyer way to change the colour, if u sue the gradient tool and select a deep orange and a strong yellow and put the gradient tool over ot about 2 or 3 times it dose a good effect
I am on CS3 extended but when I apply polar cordinates/rectangular to polar the planet goes a bit upper on the screen and the flares are shown not from the center of the planet but on a bottom right point on the planet... Looks ugly :( Got any tip? Am I doing something wrong?
I remember doing this on Photoshop Elements 2.0 (My's school's program) :D I have photoshop CS2 so I dont think there will be much of a difference with either program.
Can you tell me how to do the selection with the elliptical marquee tool in photoshop cs2? because each time i try using it the way you say it or in any way i do, a warning pops up saying: "warning: No pixels are more than 50% selected. The selection edges will not be visible."
So im doing the exploding Planet and ever time i try and use the circle tool. instead of blinking and letting me invert it it just takes a circle chunk out of the picters and replaces it with the background...
you need to make sure after you have select th e circle area that u go to select on the top and click inverse to invert your selection and then delete and then inverse again to reselct the circle. Rick
luv2help, i want to make an intro, can you make us a vid on how to make a intro. that would help me out and i am sure many more poeple out. i have seen your work. and i know u can do it. ^_^

They're stock photos, most of them you have to buy. Unless you can find torrents or rapidshares with them.
