  • Based on the results of this race; Lane 2 and 9 aren't good. Lanes 5-6-7 appear to best in 200M.

  • 240p..........we meet again

  • high quality? its 240p!

  • Black Sonic the Hedgehog

  • Why do they lean their head at first?

  • the 0ne in lane 9 gets a big start why is this

  • @DAJAZDJ1 It's all relative. Lane 9 seems to have a head start, but they have to run wider on the bend, which evens out the field. Lane 1 is further back, but has to run less of the bend.

  • @AzzCatz BUT LANE 9 SHOULD WIN EVERY SINGLE RACE WITH SUCH A BIG START SO THIS IS AN HANDICAP RACE RIGHT BEING 1 IS THE BEST THEREFORE HAS TO RUN FURTHER 9 IS THE WORST SO DOESN'T HAVE TO GO AS FAR AM I RIGHT

  • @DAJAZDJ1 Not quite... The distance covered by all athletes is 200m, so it's not a handicap. The distance in the stagger is made up by the shape of the bend.

  • @AzzCatz cant be the one in lane 9 gets a start on lane 8 then more of a start on 7 and so on if lane 1's running 200m i reckon lane 9's doing only around 150-160

  • @DAJAZDJ1 Trust me it's a 200m race, so they all run 200m... Like I've said, the wider lanes have to deal with a bigger bend, which adds distance and makes up for the stagger.

  • @AzzCatz I GET WHAT YOUR SAYING BUT ID RATHER RUN OUT OF LANE 9 THEN 1

  • @DAJAZDJ1 lane 9 is the worst lane....1 isnt good either, but at least you have targets to chase. The best lane in 200m is probably 4.

  • thats bull shit high quality

  • he's so fucking tall!!

  • Obviously he was no where near as fast though.

  • Hahah there's so many sensitive fags on youtube.. your comment was pretty funny, and truthful (If people percieve it as rascist and give it a thumbs down it's them that are the rascists)

  • @bobby123greenhalgh ellaborate? lol who said that comment ur talking about i wanna see it lol

  • LOL

  • HES A BEEEEEEEEEEEEASST!! my rolemodel! :))

  • his long ass strides! theres this guy at our school that took steroids, got 11 seconds on the 100m, grass, junior high, damn usain bolt is like a car

  • I have no doubt that his mother had relations with a horse. This dude is built to run. Period.

  • @Dirkdigglerdan lool

  • I based that on the observation that most world record 100 meter finishes have been run in about 42 strides. What others ran on that night I have no idea, but if Usain ran five strides faster than say Greene, Gay or Powell, he would have to have ran Beijing around 37, which is patently absurd.

On the other hand might have very well ran it in 41 or even 40 strides, which is around par or just under it for world records.

  • 1 thing omg im jamaixcan hell yea

  • im 14.. and im 181 cm tall.. so i guess im tall.. any tips on how to run faster.. i only run 100m at 13.5sec.... so ye any tips on how i can run faster.. i should run alot faster than that for my body type...

  • Hehe im the exact same height.

    kickass.

I run at 13.03 official and i think 12.7 at another time.

You need to train for stamina the key to winning is power AND stamina if you can run fast thats good but if you can run fast and keep going thats alot better.

  • alright... ye i guess i do need stamina..... ill work on it... and how old are u btw.. cos i wanna c how old u are for ur time..

  • The key to being fast is having a great body. There are no such thing as short and fast sprinters. That only works for marathons. Also have good running form. Poor athletes wobble alot during the first 1/3 of race and loses momentum. Sprinters need to build up powerful legs and powerful upper bodies and thorac. Marathoners need smaller legs and thorac. So train leg curls and efficient stride. In the 100m-200m you've got less than a min to make an impression so every step counts.

  • Alot of the time people tense their legs to go faster but it attualy slows you down.you need to take relaxed strides with your knees high up to increase your speed.

  • hi i'm 14 too. i'm 173 cm tall and run 12 sec. in the start you have too make your back straight and look down until you reach your top speed. You also have too start making some shorter steps, so you accelerate faster.

  • When running make sure you have high knees and run hip-lip

  • ye i will now.. ive been running with low knees, and quick small steps... i go pretty quick but get tired real quick.. ye ill do big long steps with high knees now... and whats hip-lip?

  • hip - lip:

where you knee gets up to your hip and you hand goes to your lip.

do you understand that? Thats what ive been taught.

  • ohhk.. ye my friend does alot of football training now.. and he started running like that.. now his quicker... true.. ill try that

  • the reason tall sprinters are generally not as good is they have slower turnover per stride, but Bolt doesnt seem to have that problem

  • Exactly what I said. The essential problem with turn over is how long the feet stay on the ground, and one shortens this time by increasing their stride rate. As you say for taller runners they have to shorten their strides in achieve this.

What you say in another comment might be true. When I observed Bolt and Gay they were running closely together at the same speed. What might have changed for bolt in the last year is the quickness of his turn over allowing him to extend his stride length.

  • VERONICA WINS GOLD 21.74. And Kerron takes Bronze. IRON LION ZION. JAMAICA LAND WE LOVE.

  • Next 4x1 Men and women don't

  • bomba clat, raas clat, gwan man , hima run like day wind.

  • watch the 200 meters final 2008 0n my profile usain bolt

  • Agreed he was the taller,so that is a key factor, less steps=less effort=longer steps=faster sprint. But still very impresive and well deserved, congrats to the champ,a true sprinter.

  • Yeah, it is because he's talled. That theory though doesn't stand up, usually, taller runners have less control over their legs. Tall people have, in the past been turned away by trainers. He's rewritten the rule book.

  • Check out any video with Bolt running next to Gay who is much shorter. They have the same stride length. This is because they have the same stride frequency. The idea that taller runners have longer strides, while and intuitively appealing idea, isn't actually correct.

If this was in fact the case then the faster runners, like the faster sprint swimmers-- a sport where size does effect performance, would all be equally tall.

  • that was amazing. Plz im begging you make sure you didn't take drugs your a good runner example for all the rascists out there

  • thank u man omg ur making soo much sense man i saw this wack coment on another vid omg this guy left a seriosly racist coment

  • GO JAMAICA! w00t w00t!

usain rox, and he's having mad fun u can tell cuz in the other race he slowed down 2 mock his competitor haha.

  • 19.30 everybody :)

    Lightning BOLT!!!

  • Hig quality my ass

  • 19.68 100m Olympic gold just then

  • he'll break world record. confirm!

  • yea i have to agree with you. i don't know if he's clean or he's doing something because officials can't detect it but he certainly has what it takes. especially after running 100m in 9.69 only hours ago. not only did he run 9.69 but he slowed down and mocked his competitors for the last few meters. T_T i still have 10 times more respect for Michael Johnson (400m WR: 43.18; 200m WR: 19.32)

  • the other guys got raped.. damn... its like they are in a different race

  • Because he´s taller and can complte the 200mt in less steps

  • true he is 6'5 full of twitch muscle.

  • Not true, Bolt takes just as many steps as Gay does. If you would have just thought about this for a second you'd realize that you had to be wrong. 200 meter swimmers are all very tall because because the maximum speed for swimmers is roughly twice their body length a second. There for the taller swimmers go faster. If this was true of sprinting then all the top sprinter would also be very tall. In reality stride frequency determines stride length physiologically, and true enough if watch...

  • ... if you watch Bolt running against Gay side by side they both take the same lenght of stride despite their respective size differences.

  • No, Gay takes about 5 more strides to cover 100m than Bolt

  • What races and what are the stride counts? Are saying that Bolt has been running the 100 meters in 37 strides? Because the races I've seen it's around 42 just like everybody else.

  • Bolt takes around 40-41 strides on average while othe sprinters like Asafa powell take anywhere from 44-48 strides depending on how fast they accelerate to top speed...

  • True, my daugter for a moment thought the Trinidadian won, she didn't realize the winner was already almost out of the camera shot.

  • lmaooo

  • good quality but isn't high :P

  • que bicho

  • all the best to mi jamaican people
