  • I've loved VU and Lou Reed for the longest time. Only recently have I been listening to the solo works of John Cale and Nico. I gotta say, songs like these make me realize that Lou Reed wasn't the only person of the group who knew how to create a song by himself. I'm going to go buy Vintage Violence. :)

  • Ich mag ihn mag das Gitarrenspiel die Melodie ich mag die Lyric die Melancholie alles an dem Song
  • This man has soul. But he looks very, very ill in some of those pictures, and well in others.

  • It seems like Amsterdam inspires some quite wistful and melancholy songs, that's how I felt when I came back home from my two trips there LOL

Love the song by the way, I've been a VU fan for 8 years now and I'm starting to appreciate Cale's work too

  • It's too bad that the chances of a Reed/Cale/Yule/Tucker reunion are very slim. I think it would've worked.

  • Don't really see how this will work, since Sterling Morrison had passed away long ago. According to John Cale, Lou Reed tried to get this reunion of VU purely on finicial reason without any justification, and I thnk John was quite right on this one.

  • @RockMusicLover73

no Cale is not on good terms with Reed at all. Who the hell is?

  • "She says she fell in love

With men who knew the way to treat a lady"

Those lines are so funny in a very tragic way.

  • So great...

  • this song gives me shivers

  • Did anyone know that this song was written about his then girlfriend Betsey Johnson?

    Sad :(

  • Most people don't know that fashion designer Betsey Johnson and John Cale were once married
