  • A Classic, Thanks Uncle !!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love the songs you guys play awsome dancing music , ive got all the ones you posted on my favorites tom plays that fiddle with such ease just wicked playing all of you thank you for sharing these wonderful songs

  • @spikeduval We are really pleased that you like our music that much. I suppose ol' Tom is pretty much at ease with that fiddle after 80 some years of sawin' away at it. Had it not been for Tom, there would be a lot fewer fiddlers in our area. His patience, and sometimes lack there of, has helped dozens of folks to keep working at it until they got it right...He is a purist in the sense that he likes it best done the old way. We sure appreciate your visits and comments....*ron

  • Great song and great playing. I'm in Garland, Texas and have listened to everyone of your songs.

Do you know an old fiddle song called "Southern Soldier Boy?" I real enjoy y'all. Keep pick'n.

  • @rjchand LOL! I'll bet you're the only one that has watched them all...man, we sure thank you for lettin us know you like our stuff.. I ain't never here southern soldier boy...looks like I would have since I was raise just upon the ridge above where Stonewall Jackson has his boot camp for a while...lol..Wish I did know it..sounds like a good one.

Keep droppin in on us, 'cause you'll always be welcome....*ron

  • Yes, and another verse is: If you see that gal of mine, tell her if you please, Before she bakes those biscuits brown, To roll up her dirty sleeves. Walkin in my sleep, babe, Walkin in my sleep. Comin down that Dixie line, Walkin in my sleep. Bake them biscuits, baby. Bake em good and brown. Bake t hem biscuits baby, I'm Alabama bound. Walkin in my sleep, babe, Walkin in my sleep. Comin down that Dixie line, Walkin in my sleep.
  • @astrolog7000 lol..nice one..thanks..

  • Did you all know the fiddler from Tennessee, Ralph Blizard? I used to jam with him alot, over in Blountville, TN, near here, but he died in 2004. He played that "Walking in My Sleep" and sang with it, "Pain in my fingers, pain in my toes. Pain in my ankle

bones. Ah aint gonna work no more."

  • @astrolog7000 I didn't know Mr Blizard, and never heard the words to 'walking in my sleep', but most old fiddle tunes have lyric, if you can just find them.

  • There's nothing better than twin fidddles. !!

  • @n5393c Thanks for coming by and watching..*ron

  • Nice fiddlin'. Love the way some of the old timers hold that fiddle. Actually looks more natural to me held down low. Ha. Nof said to say hello.

  • @ltatch I like it too, but folks have been tellin' him you can't hold a fiddle like that for 80 some years now,,lol..glad you and Nof dropped by...*ron

  • is tom related to the kentucky fiddler Pat Kingery?

  • @fiddlingmichael Hey Michael!!

Tom ain't related to Pat as far as he knows, but we sure appreciated you coming by for a visit and taking time to watch...*ron

  • WOW ... jIM LEARNED FROM tOM ... now I KOW its time to go

Thanks for the tunes Ron, tell the guys too ... i had agreat night, keep well

  • @Rikkyhardo Thanks for having a look Rikky..

  • did these fellows ever work at a saw mill? man they sure can saw a sweet sound on those fiddels they make it look so easy all of you do a good job i watch about every day and can't get much work done her in alabam but who cares?

  • A man should only work when there is absolutely nothing else to do, and you have plenty to do just visiting with us..lol..I don't believe either of them ever worked at a saw mill, but most of us hillbillies have, at one time or another, dated a girl who worked at one..We consider that "woman's work" anyway 'cause men need to protect their hands for more important stuff, like pickin' and jug holden'...thanks for dropping in...*ron

  • Great job fellows Great job!!

  • Thank you for dropping in..

  • I belirve Tom could "play fiddle in his sleep"! lol!

  • lol...he's getting close to 90, and has played nearly all his life, so....I'd say you're right...thanks for having a look, and commenting...*ron

  • my (not living anymore) father (Germany) could play fiddle like that... It's so cute how the one gentleman holds the fiddle so casually resting against his arm (not close to him)... My father could play fiddle and accordion, or anything he put his hands on. :) :) :)

    I love home-style fiddling. (obviously)

  • Now we know where you and Tanya Naomi get you great talents. The guy holding the fiddle casually is Tom Kingery. He is nearing 90 years old, and is still a great fiddler. He was for many years considered the best around here ,and is the one Jim Marshall learned from. Thank you very much for taking time to visit us...*ron

  • If only everyone knew how much outstanding music was played down in the old bunker... eh? Loved it!!!

  • These tunes bring back memories of seeing John Hartford playing similar ones.

Fab video Ron - up to your usual standard.

  • Hi there Jack, ..John Hartford ,to me was a true master of the fiddle, playing many styles...Bill, who you see in our videos sitting to the left of the mandolin player, was aquainted with John. John visited our area often our the years to play with local musicians...
