The 19thC into 20thC Endowment ceremony went like this: (Does this sound like a Christian Marriage?) First the married couple are separated. Then stripped naked, given a "hospital gown" to wear. They got thru what Sandra describes, putting on a fig leaf apron, odd rituals and violent oaths e.g. "To avenge the blood of the prophets" (Joe, Hyrum, not Jesus and John), to be murdered for speaking of the ceremony,etc. AFTER you go thru this ritual you are reunited with your spouse. Nice Marriage?

Mormons are cults do not trust them Jesus is the only way to Heaven. Joseph Smith will lead you done the wrong path so many people believe what he made up in the woods. Honestly who would believe anything a farm boy made up when he was in the woods when he said he saw jesus and god. If he saw them he would be dead that is the only way you will see Jesus is when you die. Not when you alive and walking in the woods.

What if I don't WANT to become my own God? I know the world wouldn't be ANY better off if I were the one running the show... If salvation is equated with achieving "literal" godhood through good works and practicing the teachings (or "translations" as Mormons maintain) of Joseph Smith, then why did Jesus die on the cross for my sins like I understand the New Testament to suggest? Or was all that stuff in the Bible about salvation and the atonement for sin just misinterpreted?

We agree! Catholicism is a cult...a bastardization of the scriptures by the popes which interestingly contain more differences of several kinds than there are words in the new testament itself, when textual scholars examine the known Greek and Latin manuscripts in existence. I still say ALL the different branches of christianity (1,000's) are cults and that includes yours too. Sorry
