  • I like high end Blu-ray Disc players like Pioneer / Marantz / Denon / Onkyo / Oppo

but if you can't afford a high end player you can buy BD players from brands like Panasonic / LG / Sony / Philips. I don't like Samsung's Blu-ray Disc players. I'll buy an LG BD player anyday instead of a Samsung. Samsung makes excellent LCD / LED / PLASMA tv's but their Blu-ray Disc players are buggy...

  • Thinking of getting one next year in May along with my first HD tv. Can't wait!

  • If anyone wants mine they can have it - I might take it to the futureshop and see what piece of merchandise I can take out with it by rifling it accross the store - It FREEZES THE SOFTWARE IS SHIT, it does play EVERYTHING but its preformance is a bit to be desired.... NO MORE L.G. for me NEVER AGAIN !!!!

  • I don’t like it as it doesn’t have 6 or 8 channel RCA discrete output you have to be reliant on the HDMI. What if the AVR doesn’t have HDMI but it has 6/8 channel input! You can still get the high audio output from using the onboard decoder. Most of my players have 6 and 8 channel output until I get a new AVR. I'm still able to listen to Dolby TrueHD 8channel on none 8channel amp! Now then! Hush hush secret!

  • Got the same one...but there wasn't a composite cable with it and a different remote control. Maybe cause I'm living in germany^^ But it's a good one.

  • @19Raptor87 Cool. Im ready to get the upgraded model with the built in wireless. Another gadget to add to my want list...

  • hey does every blu ray player come with the 1080i component cables? coz i really know nothing about BR players :S

  • @LordIr0nmaster do you have a 1080i tv?

  • No fan on the back of that one.

  • RTFM = read the f*cking manual

  • Hey doug can u post a video of your complete setup? HDTV / XBOX360 / LG BD 370 player and others? Would like to see that...nice unboxing video btw...

  • @GRiZLOC Nothing major to see. Maybe one day I do something fun on it.

  • AJ you are network tech I haave situation with my home network. watch my video " How do I add wireless N to my network?" maybe you can help me prop me a PM. Nice unboxing.

  • stop talking give me unboxing!

  • @sloka666 My video, I'll talk for as long as I want to! Don't like it, don't watch!!

  • READ THE FUCKIN MANUAL NOW :O

  • i have lot of movies downloaded from internet in .mkv extension. I converted them with mkv2vob so i can play them on my ps3. Are they going to work on this LG BD370? And can it play .mkv files with subtitles? Thanks

  • Thanks. I'm strongly considering this model as my first Blu Ray player and this video was really helpful.

  • I also have LG BD370, fantastic player, easy to use. After hack this plays dvd's from every region, like many other players.

  • video streaming is not supported in usb port in the US version , I called LG and he said NO support and hell with youtube its probably bogus....must be bd370's made for other markets....

  • i think this is a good br disk player, now for my ??, is it possible to connect this player to a wii, useing a ethernet and an adapter to get the online options as i have the wii useing wireless conn.

  • No. Not possible.

  • but the price in UK is erm... £135.99 which is like $288

  • Doug. Just what i need! and its not that expensive. when it was on sale. But anyway i will get a BluRay Player. i love HD

  • 77 dollars at Frys on black friday

  • Hey by the way thanks Dizzy Doug for the heads up on this LG bluray player, it helped me make up my mind!!

  • Im in the process to buy this bluray player, i was on the fence between this unit and the wireless insignia from best buy just cause it has wireless built in, but i think after reading all the reviews and for the price LG ia better buy cuase its LG and it has a lot more features for sure. And this LG model is on sale right now at best buy for $129 online, so its a great buy especially in this economy!!!!

  • dis is the best blue ray there is.........i wanna get one u got it cheap man congrats this r more dan 200 buxx i might go chek out frys tomrow do u know if they still have it on sale at dat price

  • Not sure if it's still that price. I would check with Fry's to be sure.

  • oh well i saw the website and its not ther im gonna go chek tomrow but wow dats a good price man i wanna get that blue ray andhow u god it was a good deal man was it like a special offer or wat

  • You'll like it, i'm sure of it.

  • yea i know dats da one i wanna get man.........

  • Does LG BD370 load Blu-ray and DVD movies fast and have you had any problems when the movie is playing?

  • It loads disks (BD & DVD very quickly), and i've had no issues with it period.

  • burning questions

please answer i am going to get a panasonic bd60 or lg bd 270 going for usd 120 now but i want to know can i use HDMI for Video output and Composite(white and red) 2Ch RCA for Audio Output?

I will not hook it up to to a tv i will hook to my monitor that has HDMI. I dont want to use my monitor speakers because they suck I want to get 2 to 1 RCA audio adapter and use it in line in with my speakers is it possible? because in PS3 its possible i tried it

  • At this time, I am still testing it, and that is one feature that I can not say that I have tested. I currently have it connected directly to my HDTV via the HDMI cable. Audio and video for me is carried on that cable. I will look into this though, this weekend, and will let you know it's possible. All I should have to do is connect an RCA cable from the BD370, to my A/V receiver on a different input.

As soon as I have time to do this, I will.

  • Already using the blade lol.

  • You betcha.

  • Still that BD player has alot of features for the price. Excellent vid. I might look into that play for the bedroom!! Thank Dizzle!

  • Im assuming from the LAN ethernet port that this is a firmware upgradable player right?

  • Yes it is. BD live profile 2.0. In fact, it updated the firmware as soon as I connected it last night.

  • Only $150.00 WoW ! very good price

  • You betcha. Right price point for an entry level player.

  • Also congrats on the purchase. I am looking at the Samsung BD-P3600 as an x-mas gift for my pops. just about the same features..

  • I saw that one, Nice unit. just out of my budget ATM.

  • you gotta get MW2 on the 360 though. The triggers are a MUST for any FPS.

  • That game is going to kick ass. Can't wait.

  • nice unboxing dude! my family hasnt gotten a blue ray disc player yet... we probably should

  • Thanks, bro! I appreciate it.

This is the 6th generation of the players, if you can believe that. With BD live profile 2.0, and all of the added features, YouTube, Netflix, Cinema Now's video on demand, not to mention the price point ($149.99). I really do think that now is the time to buy a BD player. Oh, and they upconvert SD DVD's, and even have a composite video out for those without HDTV's can use them as a DVD player until they upgrade their TV's.

    $150. Just can't beat it.

  • RTFM haha, gotta love it.

  • HA HA. RTFM.

  • should have got a ps3 slim :( 5* though

  • Thanks!

This was half the price, and I can't see myself buying myself a PS3 this close to Christmas. I have 5 kids, and my kiddos come first.

Besides that...I'm picking up MF 2 prestige edition, in less than 2 weeks.

  • oh dude of course kids come first. im only 17 what do i no :) but yea MW2 on the 10th i cant wait!!

  • Don't trip!. It's all good. I'm going to buy the slim, just gonna have to wait a bit.

I can't wait for MW2. That game is going to be of the chains. NVG's FTW!

  • haha i didnt get the prestige edition, just the regular, i already payed for the hole thing, midnight release!

  • I put down $50, and will pay the rest when I pick it up. Normally, I just order the regular versions of the games, but I couldn't pass up the coolness that is the NVG's. I promised my sons that they could torment their sisters a little bit in the dark. HA HA.

  • haha :) like 100$ NVG u think they would work? im not sure but i hope it proves me wrong,

  • I was told that they work up to 50 feet. This was by someone who I speak to frequently, and have become friends with at one of my local GameStops. 50'....

And if I get board of them, there's always eBay or Craigs List.

  • haha review your nv goggles

  • You know it! Unboxing and the whole nine! LOL..
