  • Great Asian women for you ***lushfmlk.info***

  • a series of tubes

  • Who says anyone has to have cable or internet service ha ha. All Americans can go back to PUBLIC TV AND A NEWSPAPER. This country has serious issues.

  • @worseto true, but if you pay for 10mbps service you should get 10mbps service. one of the accusations (that got skirted around in this vid) is that comcast was effectively capping user service rates at less than advertised, which is illegal.

  • The thing is thay I am PAYING for an agreement that doesnt say my traffic IS going to be shaped...

  • At least Comcast is doing something to manage and balance the bandwidth. if they didnt, then your neighbor would be sucking down 100MB transfers and taking your badnwidth in the process. be happy that its faster than dsl. its not slower if anyone says so and if it is, then get a technician to look at your network connections.

  • Hi ReikiH , I'm the same guy as mimimarije (my wife's account). Only because of media deregulation is Comcast, (indeed a private business} able to operate as a monopoly. Monopoly laws exist to regulate business in the public interest. If you are one of those "free market" people that feel that the best cure for all ills is a totally free market, then you should agree with me. Large companies like Comcast prevent entry to true competitors by manipulating lawmakers to legislate on their behalf

  • The FCC is only an agency run by people. Historically those people have been "big media" puppets. Now that's changing. It started before the 2003 decision on radio station ownership Copps was a hero. Powell was shameful. Look it up, it's interesting stuff. Our new guy is pretty cool.

  • It's Comcast's bandwidth to be limiting.

Don't like it? Don't use Comcast.

    Sad but true.

  • No, it's not true. I agree with how you FEEL, but Comcast (any huge company for that matter) has to be granted licenses based on public good. They're too big to just run free. Anyway, they have a monopoly. So, they have to grant equal access to bandwidth, or, they have to allow competition.

  • It's not how I feel. Comcast owns the lines and equipment, therefore, they have complete control over their equipment and lines. You choose to use their equipment, you must abide to their terms and services, including any limiting they do. I'm glad the FCC is holding them responsible, but I really think the FCC should only recommend actions, not enforce anything.

  • How would you like it if you had a wireless router in your home and you let someone pay you a monthly fee to use the internet through it.

But then they started downloading nonstop, making your internet run very slowly. So now on your equipment you run a quality of service program, which equalizes the bandwidth, so the lines are never congested.

But then the FCC comes along and says you must turn off your QoS program and allow that person using your network complete access again..

  • The router belongs to you, and the original internet connection is also yours, so what right does the FCC have to tell you how to control it. If you're being unfair, the other person paying you can negotiate that with you, or leave the agreement.

  • You're either not understanding or for some reason not addressing what I said. It's not a property issue. If a company agrees to provide a public service, they have to provide it equally. That's all. And that means they get checked up on. Comcast wants to decide WHO gets the most access. That's wrong.

  • It's not a public service, it's a business. This is not the public water supply we're talking about.

Comcast can manage their business in any way, but just because it seems unfair to some people doesn't mean it's illegal or wrong. The FCC needs to be disbanded.

Why should we need a license to create electronic devices and communicate with each other? (See: Definition of license).

  • FCC: They need more transparency.

    (he then turns around)

We punished (ect) for degrading their services.

So basically, the FCC isn't punishing the big guys because they keep their stuff private and as long as they do so, it looks like the FCC won't do anything.
