It's limited. But the "Cloak and Dagger" item allows you to stand still forever. But moving around will drain the power.

@colafass with the Invis Watch (default PDA) you can be cloaked for like 30 seconds I think or 25 seconds, if you touch an enemy you will be partially visible, with the Cloak and Dagger (PDA unlockable by doing achievements) you can be Cloaked all the time you want but if you start moving the watch starts to drain Cloak power until you stop moving, the Dead Ringer(another PDA Unlockable by doing achivs which its my favorite) when you pull it out and they shoot you, you make a fake corpse :) lol

kill then sapp the turrets that way the engineer isnt there to repair the damage and it leaves the turrets vulnerable.

@edwardfeast Yup, if the engy is by his sentry, stab and sap is best, if you have DR you can even fool people by just putting that up when you stab so the sentry gets the kill, then wait by the dispenser (lvl 2+ dispenser will keep you cloaked) until the engy comes back, then stab him again :)

Sap and stab is used best when you are not sure where the engy is, or if he is roaming away from his sentry.

Ah good old 07. Nobody spy checked, they were easily tricked by disguises, and you could walk into people without them knowing you were a spy. And best of all the spy was the best disguise.
