What a great life he led we should all be more like Larry, the world would be a better place. He is sadly missed but one day sooner than we know we will be with him in our Fathers kingdom. Hey he is will Jesus now how can you top that. I look so forward to being with my Lord Jesus, I am ready anytime Lord. Glory to JESUS.
Poor Larry Norman...he thought that the "rapture" was just around the corner all this life. May the Lord have mercy on his soul on that Day.
"Rapture" is a 19th century invention by the Plymouth Bretheren movement. "Rapture" was never taught by the early Church.
"Rapture" is easily proved to be a false doctrine if you read 2 Timothy 4:1 using the New King James Version, instead of the pap called the NIV. Do yourself a favor, compare the verses in both versions.
I would like to thank Larry Norman for writing this song! I love it says it all we should all be getting ready and prepare to get our family ready if we love them! Thank-you Debbie Baker Arctic!
its been a year since we lost larry.this song could have been written today.larry was a prophet.loved sharing this song with common destiny and faith factor at the prayer rally for the nation.apr.19,2008.miss ya larry! rest in peace.see ya in eternity!!!
Your god has not had a single success yet. He made perfect angels. He made perfect humans on a perfect earth. He had a perfect son. And ALL of them end up tortured and dead. He ends up with a few thousand buddies to lay around paradise with for ever while ALL the rest are destroyed or tortured for eternity. Has there ever been a bigger loser? Ever? And you are banking that THIS time, this one last time, God is gonna hit the ball out of the park for you? Good luck with that!
I use to think that the bible taught the rapture until I found out that it is a belief that is 150 years old. Dispensation doctrine has been proven to be incorrect. I now believe that when the Lord comes back that is the end of this world. I know many still believe in the rapture but Google the rapture and read both sides of the argument.
I've studied both sides of the argument and I am still convinced that there will indeed be a pre tribulation rapture, the removal of the church will happen soon. "He will appear a second time to them that look for him". Keep watching, Jesus is coming very soon for the church - a seperate event from the second coming. "Behold I come as a thief !" - un-expected !

Two men will be in the field: One will be taken and the other left.
Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; One will be taken
and the other left. Therefore keep watch, because you
do not know on what day your Lord will come.. Matthew 24:40-44

I like the way that he followed his own heart and relationship to God, and did not kowtow to "mainstream" Christianity. He was my kind of Christian.
RIP Larry. I hardly knew you. (but Jesus does!!)

Funny Hal Linday's book, esp. Late Great Planet Earth, are so friggin dated and irrelevant now.
But this song, from the same era, with the same theme, is timeless and always relevant.
God bless Larry
