Those bugs are because the game development was very hard, for the creators. If you know how to create games for the MD, you will see that there was too much exigence, for the programmers mainly. But yes, these bugs are fixable.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles is a remarkable achievement. Sonic Team basically had to take a complete game, break it into two separate complete games that were fully playable while removing certain characters and access to routes (and minimizing the player's awareness of these omissions), but then make sure they could be re-accessed through the use of 'lock-on technology.' It's amazing that there aren't more glitches than what we see here.

there is an intro glitch i pulled off one, when sonic jump off the tornado then as super sonic runs through the unloaded act then dies!! (no knuckles to stop him) this was one of my biggest WTF moments ever!!

If you do the Go-Back-Into-Act-1 glitch, you can actually re-trigger that first starpost; in S3K that means if you go into a bonus stage then, the act 1 music will start playing. Then you can play through all of Act 2 with the Act 1 music still playing. Crazy, isn't it?

There is another glitch in Angel Isle Act 2 only done with Hyper Sonic attack Dr R and land alot of hits before he destroys the first bridge then jump into the center platform you have to land slightly near the rightside edge and crouch, when Dr R hides behind the waterfall the screen will slightly move but will stop half way and the bridge will fall down and blow up during the fight, beat the doc, free the animals then miss the platform and you will fall through the graphics into a black screen

maybe you have to get the camera to change in crouching or looking up position before the camera automaticaly moves sideways when eggman/dr robotnick destroyes the bridge.

I really love playing this game always finding glitches especialy hyper sonic your gonna see alot of them if the game can't catch up with you also lots of opportunities for you to sikp most of the stages.

For the Knuckles in Sonic's path glitch I always bounced off the 10Ring box and Ninja glided onto the spikes. Note: Doing this trick allows you to get into Sonic's path w/ just regular knuckles, although it is considerably harder.

I've once experienced a glitch at the end of Act 2 where you fall down, but instead of triggering the transition to the next level, I just fall to my death. I have no idea how I did it though.

I remember the stage 1 music error, the version using the Special Stage rather than the star post still happened even in the Sega PC version. I thought it was pretty neat, I liked Angel Island Act 2's music. :D

I was playin as hyper sonic when I fought him and after I beat him I hit the capsule on the right side of the screen and the next thing I know, I somehow got spawned onto the left side and I hear the sound of the boss again. I was goin to jump back to beat the 2nd boss but I didn't have a shield and I got bumped over the edge. :( still pretty cool though.

at 7:44, i did that by accident during my speedrun with Sonic and Tails in Sonic 3! the tube rejected me somewhere nearest the airship chase and when i emerged, the graphics of the level were fudged up! it only happened in S3, though.

With the Hyper Emeralds Tails can be Super Tails an has got "Super Birds" that kill everything.

Hyper Knuckles can do Earthquakes, when he's touching a wall after gliding trough the air.

There was another glitch I found during playing the boss battle, which caused 2 bosses appear. After i defeated one of the 2 the another just kept shooting fire and Knuckles turned from red to black. I don't know what caused the glitch, but I can remember that during the boss battle, Sonic had a bubble shield.

Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles were once one game, but they split them due to time management. He was originally a playable character, but removed in development. Most of Knuckles's paths are still there, but bosses are missing.

Hahaha, I used to love doing the meeting Knuckles glitch back in the day. There is a way to get in the back of that part with knuckles and the button though, you'll need debug mode to do it. The only thing is that you don't go far cause a wall is in the way.

There was one odd glitch that happened to me recently but I didn't record it :(.

After Act 2 I somehow removed the bridge that Knuckles destroys before even entering the scene.

So when Act 2 was cleared I went to the right then suddenly fall down to the very bottom of the map, surpassing the water fall.

I die and went back to the last used checkpoint on Act 2. But reseting the console shows that the game did count as cleared and allowed me to go into the next Zone of the game.

I'm pretty sure you can control Tails with the second controller in that last glitch in Sonic 3. That's how I managed to pull it off usually - getting Sonic over the cage by flying him up there (I need to jump because Tails can't go off-screen for some reason), and then jump from there to Knuckles' area.

Never tried this in Sonic 3 & Knuckles though...
