  • what the song guys

  • i dont understand why is he cocking when he's doing solo performance..so weird.. really nice style he has tho

  • Hey Born, what did you say about your style level?

    Born: ITS OVER 9000!!!!!!!

  • HIS FOOTWORK HIT THE RHYTHM OF THE BONGOS

I COULDN'T EVEN HEAR IT CLEARLY AND HE WAS HITTING IT

  • great top rok, move, footwork... born, what else?

the song is :Shaft in Africa (1973) Soundtrack Shaft In Africa (Addis) Johnny Pate

  • I think change in your flow and overall style as well as your attitude when dancing adds to you're "rawness"!!!

  • @s2ishinsen What the fuck why did I put "your're" lol your*

  • song ???

  • I understand the arguments that talk about the less agressive style of born. well, thats ok (but i think it could be re-argumented). But i see him and, really, i can´t think in other bboy of his generation that kills the beat and dance like him. That's the point, he's special because of that. How many bboys can make powermoves? but how many can do what born does? I'm one of those that still thinking that, at least, we`re talking aboaut dance, not gimnastic.

  • @khasekhemuy I think born is regaining his agressive battling nature haha.. check out the chelles pro korea videos and you'll notice how born really battles!

  • 你们ready 了吗? 你们ready了 就应该尖叫啊! (哈哈)

  • i can watch multiple air flare sets, blow ups, 2000s, headspins, whatever, and i lose interest after once or twice.

born though... i can keep watching this vid and never get bored. im sorry, his style is just too smooth!

  • @AstrayChronicle my opinion is that it has something to do with his fathers death that he lost his aggressiveness. thats just a theory though.

  • @Lzibbah Is born's father dead (if so, then rip to him)

  • @iluamylife yes he is. i think that was also the reason why he didnt compete with rivers at cyon. around that time was his father's death.

  • @AstrayChronicle Put into consideration that: 1)he's getting older now, 2)the turmoil in bboyin with guys goin to jail in korea, and 3) my boy in Korea told me alot of bboys been gettin lazy lately. I think that the same guys we've loved to watch rockin the stage are starting to get older. An let's face it, with age, you start to lose stamina and ur joints, bones, and muscles can become problems. I think Korea needs some fresh blood.

  • @TheGraffiteGhost Also:

    1) I stand by my opinion that he is currently just rocking through a phrase. Born is not as old as you think he is, he can still do most of the things he used to do in 05'. Even then, you can see from bboys like Abstrak and Kazuhiro that age barely makes a dent until 40s.

    2) If Born really is affected, he wouldn't be rocking now would he? It makes no sense that he would go all the way to Netherlands for IBE if he was drastically affected by Korean bboys going to jail.

  • @DrStrangeOpinion I guess i can see where u goin with it. Cuz i get that bboy block sometimes myself. Let's hope its only a phase though, and a short one.

  • @TheGraffiteGhost

Their are Bboys older than him that are mad aggresive. Ness never let go and he's what 40?

No one went to jail, Differ confirmed that in his thank you video.

Born isn't even 25. Dyzee who's 31 still loves to rock the stage.

Korea has fresh blood, we just never see them. Loving Soul Kingz just wish they took to the world stage more often.

And yeah I did consider all of that.

  • song name plz!!

  • what this song is?

  • @SimonsShortShorts

Shaft in Africa Theme Johnny Pate

  • so dopee...

    what song is this??

  • So this is the perspective of battling Born.

You'll be shaking your head all over the place.

  • Born style is the true style of bboying keeping it fresh with flavor and attitude on top of that making the music make his move and not the other way around this is fundamentals

  • Born always keeping it fresh and clean.

  • <3 bboy born

  • Born is just like STRIDE gum...hes got LONG LASTING FLAVOR!

  • that's dancing :)

  • Born on Fire!

  • his style....IS OVER 9000!!!!!!!!

  • @kerry53421 AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

  • so much funk... in my eyeballs...

  • one dysfunctional person missed the "like" button

  • Where was this held? I hear Chinese in the background.

  • OMG!!!...my jaw just dropped, watching that..

  • Speechless..

  • i rike it i rike i rike it alooot rooby dooby dooooooooo !

  • Born can DANCE yo!

  • Song please ? :P

  • i wish more bboys were like this, instead of constantly spinning around on the floor/air and relying on power moves

  • he dosent do any power at all anymore :(

    but he dosent need too

  • I read some few comments on other videos about Born and I see that there is many who says: Bboy born changed his style, I miss the old born he was better.

Born doesnt change his style, he is improving it. He keep on improving it. I still think that he is great..

  • @iluamylife his old style was better.

  • @san7o5 Lol how so?

  • @HelloCello2126

Much more Dynamic, Aggressive and Faster to the point.

Sure the new Born can ride and play the beat but the old one battled like he was out to smoke you.

I don't have to be san7o5 to know what he's talking about.

  • @AstrayChronicle the old one battled like he was out to smoke you... the new Born is now out to rip the hell out of you!

You must see how impressive his new style is compare with his old style. His old style was fresh and clean. Now it is fresh, clean, hard and agressive.

  • @Oppergek

You'd have to be drunk to actually believe that. He is no longer aggressive. Go watch his 2010 clips. He isn't in your face, he's just dancing. Occasionally he might get a bit aggressive and school you but that's it.

And Lol "rip the **** out of you!"? Have you seen him dance? Check him out at Leadmos, Outbreak, World Bboy Classic all 2010 events and he never once looked serious.

He doesn't even pull burns anymore, he doesn't even do the take notes burn. In 05-07 he was aggressive.

  • @AstrayChronicle hes not agressive ...hes just a bit more lifeless than the other bboys

  • @RightAngIe

That's my point but this Oppergek guy thinks Born is more aggressive then ever. You have to know nothing about breaking to believe and maintain that.

  • @AstrayChronicle no no no, born is still way aggresive.

go watch his battle against yousseff

  • @sincerelymine That battle was like over a year ago.

Like I said, he does improve his style - though sometimes it seems like he is more 'relax,' before he was like aggressive and wants to win. But who can blame him? Too many people rides his dick now.

  • @sincerelymine

That is completely different. In call-outs you better bring it. And let's not forget Born was pissed that Vagabonds did not respect the judges' decisions. If any other judge was in Born's position they would have been pissed too. It's disrespectful to doubt a judge's professional judgement.

Besides I was referring to Born 2010.

  • @AstrayChronicle I think that you have some wrong eyes... You mighty think that he doens't look serious, because he don't have to be serious. He only thinks about smoking you in the most simple way. If it don't work that way, you will regred it.

Born got style, most people don't see it, but his musicality is much better than before 2009. 2010 isn't over yet!

  • @Oppergek

I've never doubted his musicality or style but he doesn't show his raw side anymore.

I already know the angle where Born is coming at and its normal for someone with so many wins and trophies to take it easy.

All I said was that he doesn't burn you, he doesn't rock like he's out to get you instead he looks like he's enjoying his time on the floor more then anything.

Ain't nothing wrong with that but that doesn't show aggressiveness.

  • @AstrayChronicle Now you are speaking as a breakdancer and not as a bboy... If you think that that is NOT aggressive ... Than you should check your background as a bboy ;)

  • @AstrayChronicle I didn't really want to jump in and say anything, but I think theres a difference when your just rocking or when your actually in a apache line to uprock battle against another rocker. Your right too that he doesn't look aggressive enough, but won't it look weird if your busting out all the aggressiveness, guns, swords, and cock burns in front of the people when its just a showcase?

  • @Idontknowwhowon

    Read my earlier comments.

I referred to his entire 2010 year not his showcases, where he has lost his aggressive attitude. At least in 08 he still was reminiscent of his former raw self.

Of course you don't need to uprock and burn the dam crowd but you can still look serious and aggressive. Haven't you seen Machine's showcases or Taisuke's? They never let go of that aggressive attitude.

You can check other comments on Born. Many of us miss how raw he use to be.

  • @AstrayChronicle My face when people think losing aggressive attitude is a bad thing.

Naturally, I think as time progresses, it'll come back to him eventually. Right now, you can see that Born is sorta like how Ken Swift is now: taking it easy, riding the beat. Which in a sense, isn't a bad thing as long as it doesn't drag out too long.

Also, to the guy who says that Korean bboys are getting damn lazy, what about J-Hak, Kill, and Beast? They seem pretty much hardworking.

  • @DrStrangeOpinion

Well I never said it's bad. Just miss the old Born.

When he started going into this soul rocking I was loving it but at this point he's basically completely let go.

You see that 2010 battle where the other Bboy pulled off Born's signature tapmill to sidechair?

Well Born did nothing about it. No burning, no schooling just went on with his set.

Good set and all but the old Born would have just slapped him.

And he drags it out, he actually does toprock only sets.

  • @AstrayChronicle I wasn't talking about you saying it's bad, I was talking about the people who assumed that you were. lol.

Like I said, perhaps it is just a phase.

  • @AstrayChronicle

    word born just having fun

    he doesn't care to win

  • @kidzwithgunzFlavaKid

That's part of losing your Raw side. You just don't care anymore.

As the bboys in history have shown, once you accumalate the fame, respect and titles you go into this for fun judge phase.

That's great he's having fun and yeah that's the purpose of breaking. Even better he's doing all this soul shit to express himself but really does no one miss the old Born?

People do and that's a fact.

Not saying he should change back but still I wanted to point out how he's changed.

  • @AstrayChronicle

ofcourse he's changed no one can deny that, i don't think he lost his raw side, i think he just doesn't show it every time, because sometimes he can still be really raw.

  • @AstrayChronicle uhmmm.. I recently saw him battle at an event and he still does his old stuff, just only when he needs to. hence he doesn't want to repeat anyway. You can't judge by one clip, he still got his old stuff but added rockin along with it cause that's bboying. why do you think some old bboys don't make it. It's because they're not adapting or making new stuff. think about it.

  • @bboysoy

I didn't judge him from this one clip. I looked at his entire year. I was always a big fan but to see him go so far into soul that he's lost his edge is really something.

I know what I'm saying and yes I've thought about it.

But watching his recent IBE experience people can agree he's lost it in terms of flow, execution and aggression. He did some pretty awkward sets in IBE.

  • @AstrayChronicle Or maybe your not understanding what he's trying to say in his movements. It seems to me like your trying to see him do "Ooh and Ahh" moves. but if you learn the history of bboying, he's heading to the right path. I can see a lot off bboys going his way in bout 2 years. about 4 years ago when everything was about power and freezes, I told a lot of clueless bboys about how foundation is coming back up and they denied me but I was right. and I can say the same thing to this.

  • @bboysoy

Ugh not this crap again. People don't bother looking at the past comments and for some reason always misinterpret what I've said.

Did I say I wanted to see the "Ooh and Ahh"? No. I said I was looking for "flow, execution and aggression". The RAW side of Bboy not the dam tricks.

    Geez dam Eboys.

Yes I know the history of breaking. I teach a break club, breaked in a commercial and practice 16 hours a week. Yes I think I know.

I’m not going to bother explaining this crap again.

  • @AstrayChronicle oh my bad, I misread it. but yea, maybe you can ask him in person next time you see him. Only he knows the answer.

  • @san7o5 regardless of what you like

bboys are going to continue to grow and evolve.

being the same all the time makes for boring bboying

  • @sincerelymine i know i know, but i actually feel like hes regressed :/

  • not possible to be more of a monster than him..

  • dope.
