@108Blake A 2005 250 Ninja. I had it for about 3 months then upgraded. The nice thing about the ninjas is you can sell them for as much as you bought them for, assuming you do it privately.
Thank you for a very simple and straight forward video. I have been interested in owning and riding a motorcycle for quite some time, but never took action since I never touched a bike. I'm planning on starting out with a 250cc bike and look forward to practicing on my clutch in my parking lot. I've drove a stick shift car before so I hope everything will turn out fine.
@lonelytaru You should pick it up right away since you already know how to work a manual transmission. Once you get a feel for the low speed turns it should be smooth sailing.
Id say always start on dirt bike. Safer and less expensive when you crash lol Watched my buddies when i was younger fuck up horribly even on dirt bike. Its all easy if you don't floor the gas but it's hard for people to actually not floor it at first. I wish most staled but usually most people after stalling go the complete opposite on next try lol. One buddy rammed a tree, another my parents deck. Luckily doesn't take long to get it, mastering is a whole different thing though
@CartmanDictatorship I think this is pretty good advise, especially the part about them being cheaper. Dirt bikes are great for learning clutch control and shifting.
Best youtube first rider video ever!!!! Dude you are the best just bought my first bike its a yamaha yzxr1000.ben practicing and after watching this dude its so freaking basic ...still got some practicing to do but you've helped me a lot .Thanks so freaking much you're awesome!!!!!!! It's not the bike m8. A complete novice can learn how to ride a bike within hours & be up and running on a 600/750/1000 within a day or two. I was riding 250 road bikes aged 13 (illegally ofc). The trick to riding a bike on the roads & staying alive is learning how the cars behave. This is the irony of modern sports bikes...they are so easy to ride that they tend to lead people in to a false sense of security. The killer is the car who pulls out without looking/turns without looking etc
when u hit the clutch up does it resume its previous position or does it stay where it has been moved to, and continuously move higher and higher until u get to the 6th gear?(I mean the foot clutch not the hand clutch)...hope u understood my question >.<
@shadowrath4 When you shift up it does go from its previous position. for example, If I was in first gear and I shifted up once I would now be in second. If I pulled in the clutch and shifted up once more, I would now be in third gear. So yes, to answer your question, it does stay to where it was moved to.
@platko glad to hear it man! Just unwinterized mine today and got it out on the road, really nothing like it.
I swear to god it is like the bond you would have with a child haha. Every little scratch she gets I get all upset, not to mention I refer to "it" as a she, which non-motorcycle owners just wouldn't understand.
What was your first bike???
