Helpful tip I discovered on accident. If you fall behind the moving platforms, another one will come along if you wait a minute. So you don't need to stress or hurry. I always take my time at the crusher and wait for another platform instead of freaking out and missing a jump. :-D

This is one of those level's that's actually quite simple, but kills you at the slightest mistake. An, "Oh, fuuuuuck yoouuu," level.

Jesus, I hate the purple coin levels. Well, not all of them, I just hate the timed and autoscrolling ones. I wish all the purple coin levels were like the one on Sea Slide Galaxy, where you just hang out and buzz around collecting purple coins at your own leisure. That was fun ^_^

This particular star is one of the most satisfying to obtain in the whole game.

This one wasn't hard at all. With Mario it cost about 9 lives (first time I played this one). With Luigi it only cost 3 lives. I had a lot more trouble with Luigi's Purple Coins. It cost 100 lives with Mario before I got that star and about 75 lives with Luigi. Now I got 120 stars with Mario and 102 with Luigi...so it's almost complete !!!

PeteyC, I died at least 75 times on this level. I played it for an hour at least, and I finally beat it. Then I noticed that stupid small lauch star and now I'm back at the level trying to figure out what it is. I can't even get to the end again!!

it makes it easier too, in places where there's a fixed platform you can wait until the next moving one comes by. i missed getting on to the ground pounding rock thing at first, and then missed the moving platform, but i just waited and another came round in a few seconds.

best thing I found was just stay on forward edge of platforms (especially the one going up), but there's still about 20 stupid ways to die here :( I HATE THIS LEVEL

What's that other stars slingshot to the rigt at the very end? You can just barely pick it out at 2:12 Anyone try and make it over to it or know where it sends you?

I remember when I first beat this one and I only had the 99 coins and the sling was visible, I was so upset, but then the last coin was there and that was the end. Hardest mission on game, and I was happy that this one gave me 120.

Actually this star isn't so bad, if you realize something. If you miss a platform, wait a while and another one will come by.

I think Battlerock purple coins is the hardest.

as for the platform coming back if you miss it. OMFG, I spent two hours getting the star without this knowledge.

I got through the whole thing once but missed the ones on top off the whomp. Another time I got all of them but undershot my jump to the spring thingie.

Just move as little as possible. Jumping to avoid the bullets shouldn't move you laterally.
