pretty good. Needs a little work but not to much really. Try not to bite down on the tube, even tho it is difficult. I put mine on a mic stand and clip it to it with about an inch or inch and a half stickin past the mic and then u dnt hav 2 hold it with ur mouth. It makes it alot easier. If u dnt hav a mic stand anything sturdy will do really. (u get the point) but I use mine w/ a guitar. Good video tho, keep it up and u'll get really good. Theyre pretty fun

The Rocktron Banshee comes with a built in amp. I got a Banshee 2, it's really awesome, though I dunno if it's just me (haven't seen anyone else have this problem), but I Have a huge problem with too much spit is gathering in my mouth when I use it, so the tube tends to slip out of place. Really annoying.

I know you were just messing around with a new toy, but try not playing each individual note. Only hit a new note when you change pitch. It will probably be a pretty hard habit to break since you are used to playing the actual song. Hope this helps some! Pretty impressive already, even if you didn't post that it was your first couple times!

hmm, I've heard quite the contrary. I was told to hit a note during consonants because it helps articulate them. If I just hold a note because the pitch doesn't change but I say several words, the words get run together and you can't tell what I say. Articulating with just the mouth sounds bad. The talk box adds depth to the notes, but it is music and it's dictated by the instrument, not the modifier.

i see you don't have a great deal of understanding on how it works. That's ok, it seems a lot of people don't, the talk box is "mystical". The tube and mic aren't really related, you actually need a mic for a talk box to record. Using a mic and software to shape sound with your voice is called vocoding, its totally diff. The tube actually carries the sound from a powerful speaker and pumps it in you mouth, you just shape it like your own voice. Vocoding you ACTUALLY use your voice.

It had been known in the 70s, for people to actually use more powerful speakers in DIY Talkboxes... AMP SPEAKERs :-o ... resulting in teeth damage AND temporary breathing problems.

it's called clear vinyl tubing, from home depot. Should be in the gardening section, but just ask someone there. Try to find a good length of it without kinks. To fit it to the banshee, just take the fitter off the end of the banshee tube and put it on your new tube. I think I'm using 1/2" tubing... don't remember

think about it... if I didn't have a mic... you wouldn't be able to hear me speak at the beginning. I get this question surprisingly frequently, to record... yes you have to have a mic. But the talk box can get pretty much as loud as your own voice, so I was just using the ambient mic built into my computer, the reason a lot of people use mics up close to their face is for isolation of the sound directly coming from their mouth. But yes, it works without a mic, it makes audible sound.

i ran out bought the stuff hooked it up to my synthesizer downloaded Buy You A Drank and i immeadatley tied it, recorded it, along with Stronger by Daft Punk, sold em on the street corner and made like 230 bucks. This shit is the bomb.

use your speaker line out using a double male end 1/8" audio cable and use a 1/8" to 1/4" cable converter to plug it into your talk box. The tube I got from home depot, it's just called vinyl tubing, sometimes in the gardening section but you can just ask someone who works there. $2-3 I think... but much better than the banshee tube.

the only one that's factory that sounds ok is the one called "talkbox" believe it or not, there is a preset talkbox sound. The rest just create your own starting from a saw tooth wave form

Well, the talk box can get about as loud if not louder than your normal voice. The only times in which you would need to mic it are at the same times you would need to mic your own voice. For instance, performing on stage. It is not at all necessary for practice. Oh, and though there is no mic right in front of my face, I am using a built in mic on my computer to record because the talk box is loud enough already to be picked up.

The only difference is the rigidity of the tube. The black one is really soft and lets sound out, imo. The clear one is much more rigid, doesn't squish in your mouth and just works for me better.
