If you`re in Yeshua, you also need to stay in Him. That`s not automatical. Even the scriptures say that anyone who`s a believe have to look to their own hearts and make sure they`re still in the faith! That means examining yourself. You can`t get saved, and then just continue like you did, and say you`re saved. Because if you continue like before, you`ll drift away from salvation. Learning to walk in Him, in His Ways doing His will is what it takes! ;-)

@Yahusheva If you are truly in Yeshua, you can't fall out, and you will have this hunger constantly for His words and love. And when you stray off, you get reminded from time to time how you were saved and convinced again. You continue to be in Him not because of the risk of drifting away, but because of His love for you. So you either have it, or you can not earn it.

oh.. But He Himself said that if a man REPENT, he would forgive. It`s still valid, all of HIs word still stands. Nothing is gone, and it will not be gone or invalid until heaven and earth have passed away! None of His Words return to Him before they`ve done what they were sent to do.

Jeff, my man, have you only read the last part of the scriptures or what? Yeshua(you call him Jesus) was a jew and he preached the Torah(commandments, instructions..) and showed us how we could and should live. He`s the way, the truth and the life. No one come to the Father except through him. Anyways.. Try reading through the whole of the scriptures from the beginning to the end.

Yes, he didn`t die for us because we did anything to deserve it, if that`s what you mean. But through His giving of His only Son, He showed us His love for us. He also did this so that we may have eternal life, and a relationship to Him. For His Son to show us how to live, and for us to be able to give Him our lives and show OUR love To Him!

Yep, I think he really got it. I was indoctrinated in Catholicism for my whole school life ... the impressionable years huh? I am now 55 yo. Over the years have searched many philosphical and religious tradirtions. But somehow Jesus never goes away. I remember the poem "Footsteps". I don't want to talk evangelisssm .. just spiritual reality.

@Caromedstudent 3) If you don't know much about Protestant/Evangelical Christianity and how we differ, you should learn those differences, and why they're important, not only to your salvation, but to theirs as well. And you're right, it is up to them whether or not they believe in the Sacraments. I'm not forcing anyone to do anything. I only presented the truth. It's up to the readers to accept or reject it.

@Caromedstudent Ok, fair enough. You're right, religion is a personal thing, and shouldn't be forced upon anyone. Even Jesus "led" people to Himself, He never coerced anyone into doing anything. I admire and respect your honesty, and I hope you can find someone to teach you more about God. I don't know what your prayer life is like, but you can start there by asking God to bring someone into your life who will bring you closer to Him. I know He wants that.

The true Essence of Grace is found in the Sacraments of the Holy Catholic Church, which is the Body of Christ. Jesus instituted each of the seven Sacraments for order for us to receive His grace in its fullest. He can give us His grace any way He wants, and often does, but to live a truly Christian life, to be a REAL disciple of Jesus, the fullest measure of grace, flowing through the Sacraments that He created (man didn't invent them), is absolutely essential.

@JordanAndJoel I don't think that's what he is saying. I had the same doubt but now I get it. You see Jesus sacrifice for us is huge enough to pay for our sins. This doesn't mean you will sin on purpose you will sin because you are human and you are not perfect. God knows us best that ourselves, he knows the sins we've committed and the ones we'll commit and Jesus already paid for all that.
