Oh Lord, I pray for my brother Jeff, whom I so love for his voice of TRUTH in this desolate land, that you will watch over him constantly, that he will not stray off but stick to your love and Grace always. Use him my dear Father, for you are worthy of praise and your people are destined to worship you. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
If you`re in Yeshua, you also need to stay in Him. That`s not automatical. Even the scriptures say that anyone who`s a believe have to look to their own hearts and make sure they`re still in the faith! That means examining yourself. You can`t get saved, and then just continue like you did, and say you`re saved. Because if you continue like before, you`ll drift away from salvation. Learning to walk in Him, in His Ways doing His will is what it takes! ;-)
@Yahusheva If you are truly in Yeshua, you can't fall out, and you will have this hunger constantly for His words and love. And when you stray off, you get reminded from time to time how you were saved and convinced again. You continue to be in Him not because of the risk of drifting away, but because of His love for you. So you either have it, or you can not earn it.
oh.. But He Himself said that if a man REPENT, he would forgive. It`s still valid, all of HIs word still stands. Nothing is gone, and it will not be gone or invalid until heaven and earth have passed away! None of His Words return to Him before they`ve done what they were sent to do.
Jeff, my man, have you only read the last part of the scriptures or what? Yeshua(you call him Jesus) was a jew and he preached the Torah(commandments, instructions..) and showed us how we could and should live. He`s the way, the truth and the life. No one come to the Father except through him. Anyways.. Try reading through the whole of the scriptures from the beginning to the end.
Yes, he didn`t die for us because we did anything to deserve it, if that`s what you mean. But through His giving of His only Son, He showed us His love for us. He also did this so that we may have eternal life, and a relationship to Him. For His Son to show us how to live, and for us to be able to give Him our lives and show OUR love To Him!
Thank You. Jesus!! Hey YOU are a great teacher! Have a look (if you have time) at Joseph Prince...also a great teacher of the GRACE Jesus provided to those who believe on HIM! I am grateful for my SALVATION...we are the CALLED according to CHRIST...I AM seated in HEAVEN by my Savior Jesus...and I am an HEIR, adopted into HIS family....I may not always PLEASE my Father, as my own children don't always please me, but I will ALWAYS be HIS Child!!
just proof..once again..you CANNOT work your way into HEAVEN!! Dude...have you ever read "THE SHACK"? It is an awesome description of how the TRINITY works...how GOD, JESUS, and the HOLY SPIRIT interact, and the relationship they have! Also, how God heals the broken, especially in and through the tragedies of life! Another thing I wanted to share, because I know you have such a heart for SOULS, is please look at YOUTUBE...Jason Crabb singing "Somebody Like Me"...he is OUR Brother in Christ!
Continue the passage! "...And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked. (1 John 2:3-6, ESV)"
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them ... whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
@Holy2theName But Jesus said "the ONE commandment to follow is "to love one another, and in so doing you will fulfill all of the other commandments", he did not say anything about being ritualistic...you CANNOT do ANYTHING to work your way into heaven! Jesus already did it!
@KellitaRoach if you recieve what Jesus did...You ARE the righteousness of CHRIST! Do you not understand why GOD had to provide the PERFECT LAMB? Because HE loves US! If HE had not sent the MESSIAH...we would ALL rot in HELL!..Please be happy.God is just waiting for His chosen ones to arrive! If you are part of a "ritualist religion", I have nothing against you...Jesus said, "I have sheep from other folds that you don't know about", so I'm not saying you are wrong, forgive..I mean no offense
@KellitaRoach What is love? What did Jesus mean? Hear his beloved disciple:
"By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith..."
Yep, I think he really got it. I was indoctrinated in Catholicism for my whole school life ... the impressionable years huh? I am now 55 yo. Over the years have searched many philosphical and religious tradirtions. But somehow Jesus never goes away. I remember the poem "Footsteps". I don't want to talk evangelisssm .. just spiritual reality.
Jef, I think you're on the mark, but please don't become another evangelist.
I am wondering if you believe Jesus loves lesbians and gays?
@maggiebass1 He loves every one of us..HE died ONCE FOR ALL...FOR ALL TIME! EVERY PERSON, EVERY SIN, now and in the future...but YOU are the only one who can create a RELATIONSHIP with HIM and learn to TRUST and LOVE Him!
Once in every 100 years or so someone comes along and represents their generation. They encourage hearts, show Christ, and bring the power of Christ with them. The past two generations had the wonderful Billy Graham. The next two at least will have Jeff Bethke. Thank you, Jeff. If the Lord ever wills it I want to shake your hand, hug your neck, and tell you thanks. God bless you.

@Caromedstudent 3) If you don't know much about Protestant/Evangelical Christianity and how we differ, you should learn those differences, and why they're important, not only to your salvation, but to theirs as well. And you're right, it is up to them whether or not they believe in the Sacraments. I'm not forcing anyone to do anything. I only presented the truth. It's up to the readers to accept or reject it.

@Caromedstudent God is One and God is Truth, therefore, truth can only be one. I didn't say you hate Catholicism, but do you understand it? Jeff says some hateful things about the Catholic Church.
@jusher7281 I know you didn't say it. Maybe Jeff's point of view on that subject is radical, "hate" religion??? I just would say I don't care, I know what I am but not to fight or argue for it. I believe religion is such a personal thing to discuss. Let everyone be with his/her own believing. I don't need or I don't want anyone to teach me about religion, I either want someone who question my faith. Maybe I want someone who teach me more about God, regardless the religion.
@Caromedstudent Ok, fair enough. You're right, religion is a personal thing, and shouldn't be forced upon anyone. Even Jesus "led" people to Himself, He never coerced anyone into doing anything. I admire and respect your honesty, and I hope you can find someone to teach you more about God. Now to the last things you are saying, thanks for your good wishes. I believe that going to the meetings this Christian group has on Saturdays (I've been going since October, Youth for Christ, you know it?) and keep with my own...
@jusher7281 You know most Catholic don't feel in the position of criticizing or judging other religions or they (we) just don't care while sometimes Christians do it.
@Caromedstudent I'm sorry, but I'm not very good at the commenting part of YouTube. Where can I find your blog in my channel? And to answer your last question, I haven't heard of Youth for Christ, but if you're attending regular study meetings, that's a good thing, especially if you're young (I'm 49, so you're probably younger than I am :) Oh, and you're right, most Catholics don't criticize or judge other faiths or religions, but unfortunately, some do and it looks bad on the rest of us.
@jusher7281 It's ok youtube it's weird but you should have activated the notifying on your email every time you get a response... I've got every comment from you in my email as well and it works that way too on the channel comments... though I don't know how to find them here either... maybe you could please leave me and email and I send it to you this way.
@jusher7281 Cristianity (protestant-evangelic), but I think is pretty wise what Jeff says about religion on his poem "Why I hate religion but I lobe Jesus" (maybe I'm saying the name of it wrong).
@Caromedstudent Is the Catholic Church the one, true "Christian" Church? She says she is and until someone can make a more convincing argument to the contrary, then I believe it. 2) I, too, share with many Protestant/Evangelical Christians (most of my friends are such). But the truth must be brought to light and not hidden. We must do so with gentleness and reverence, however.
@Caromedstudent You have three questions/statements, so let me take them one at a time. 1) Knowing that you are a Catholic, you should know that the Catholic Church believes and teaches that the "fullness of faith subsists in the Catholic Church." That's straight from the Catechism. Am I saying she is the "right religion"? In the sense of her being Christian - yes, since Christianity is the true religion.
The true Essence of Grace is found in the Sacraments of the Holy Catholic Church, which is the Body of Christ. Jesus instituted each of the seven Sacraments for order for us to receive His grace in its fullest. He can give us His grace any way He wants, and often does, but to live a truly Christian life, to be a REAL disciple of Jesus, the fullest measure of grace, flowing through the Sacraments that He created (man didn't invent them), is absolutely essential.
@jusher7281 Well, my friend, I'm Catholic but also I share with a Christian (protestant-evangelic) group and I don't think we should argue on that topic.
@jusher7281 I really don't know much about Christian (protestant-evangelic) religion and how we differ but it's up to them to believe or not in the Sacraments...
Its so funny how so many Christians try to teach you all you're sins are paid when you accept JESUS but then you're on you're own, like we're only forgiven for everything until that point. Teaching that is like spitting in Jesus's face,to me you cant disrespect him anymore . Its like you are saying his blood isn't good enough when the truth is his blood is beyond sufficient
@JordanAndJoel I don't think that's what he is saying. I had the same doubt but now I get it. You see Jesus sacrifice for us is huge enough to pay for our sins. This doesn't mean you will sin on purpose you will sin because you are human and you are not perfect. God knows us best that ourselves, he knows the sins we've committed and the ones we'll commit and Jesus already paid for all that.
@JordanAndJoel Take a look at this: "Even before a word is in my tongue, be hold, O Lord, you know it all together". Psalm 139, 4. It is not just about what you say but what you do too, God knows you for what you are doing now and what you'll do in the future.
I know u get a lot of comments and prob never have time to read them all but I pray that god tells u to read this one. I was wondering if you go to churches and preach ur messages I think my church could learn a lot hearing it testimony on grace. Email me of u are interested ilovecoconuts123@yahoo.com thanks man!

Teaching that is like spitting in Jesus's face,to me you cant disrespect him anymore . Its like you are saying his blood isn't good enough when the truth is his blood is beyond sufficient

Your kind of saying that it's okay to sin if you have Jesus in your heart....? That's not true
JordanAndJoel 3 weeks ago
@JordanAndJoel I don't think that's what he is saying. I had the same doubt but now I get it. You see Jesus sacrifice for us is huge enough to pay for our sins. This doesn't mean you will sin on purpose you will sin because you are human and you are not perfect. God knows us best that ourselves, he knows the sins we've committed and the ones we'll commit and Jesus already paid for all that.

@JordanAndJoel I'm not going to kill someone because Jesus already paid for that sin, I'm not stupid and I know it doesn't work that way...

@JordanAndJoel Take a look at this: "Even before a word is in my tongue, be hold, O Lord, you know it all together". Psalm 139, 4. It is not just about what you say but what you do too, God knows you for what you are doing now and what you'll do in the future.
