  • hmmm kind of a lore-breaker imo. As AMcGrath said magic is used but not to directly turn the elements onto others...at least not by elves. At least thats how i remember it, haven't read the books for awhile now...

  • Can't say I remember runes ever being used in such a way in the story. In fact, I don't remember elves every killing anything with elemental magics of any kind -- magic played a part in battle, yes, but not at all like this.
