@pondskimmer777 the only reason for carbon is the weight so why don't paint so nobody see's it that you have light weight parts on ur car and no bullshit with the cops over it
600 grit sandpaper til shine is gone (about 3-4 times completely). 1200 wetsand til smooth by hand. 3 coats of auto primer paint (45 min wait in between coats). 4-5 coats primary paint color (again 45 minutes between coats). 3 coats of clear coat (45 mins between coats). 1 coat of sealer (also called clear coat, but more resistant to weathering and uv rays.
Not everyone like's the look of Carbon Fiber and if you want a smooth look painting it is the way to go. It really is for weight reduction.

i think what he did was sand the clear down on the carbon fiber then sprayed a primer on it then painted the hood
