She's a state rep. The Woods book you're thinking of is The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History. Kevin Gutzman wrote The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Constitution.

Have you read it? I'm in the process now and have to say, as much as I enjoy it it is taking me quite awhile to finish.

I seldom put the correct time aside for study- and this is a study text, not just pleasure reading. At least IMHO.
