  • Whether she pronounced Gruyere correctly or incorrectly is irrelevant. If you're not watching the video to learn her way of making the soup no one's begging you to stay. We all make mistakes. She pronounced it close enough so that you knew what she was trying to say so I don't see what everyone is bitching for.

  • If the cheese is so essential to the soup learn to pronounce it.

  • Just came across your channel!! I love onion soup, your recipie looks yumm, i think i'll be making it tomorrow! I'm definatly subscribing! Your very easy to listen to, and everything is very clear! Best wishes!

  • pronounce: " Grue - yayr " cheese from Swizerland or France. I heard you pronounce: " Gweer ".

  • You have a beautiful kitchen and a good simple recipe, unlike many other so called FOS recipes I've found.

  • thanks!! i look forward to trying this

  • could chicken broth work for this recipe?

  • that looks really good! mmm :D

  • She's kinda pretty.

  • @slyfoxx77 suck my dick and then try to pronounce it

  • My soup turned out really super. This is a easy recipe maria and I had fun cooking it.

I thought the onions would never brown. I used port wine in it because that's what I had on hand.

I like your cooking and I hope you don't stop taping all your wonderful recipes. You should get a remote control for your camera. you would then be able turn it on and off at the transitions from wherever your standing.

  • It's cold and rainy here in North Carolina. I'm going to run out to the Harris Teeter and get the ingredients and make this recipe of yours. It sure looks good! Thanks Maria for posting all your wonderful recipes. I very much prefer to watch real people in their own kitchens cooking real food.

  • omg!!!love ur freakin coat!!!♥

  • I love french onion soup! You make yours the same way my mom makes hers, except she puts a giant piece of toasted bread with cheese on top. I'll tell her about the toasted croutons instead, because you're right: It is harder to eat with a giant piece of bread in the middle!

  • It is a Delight to make

    and to eat! Sooo good!

  • Five Stars!!

  • Nice recipe Maria. I used to make french onion soup and you have inspired me to make it again. One tip for viewers that you didn't mention is make sure to use unsalted butter while cooking the onions because if you use salted butter the salt will draw out too much moisture in the beginning and the onions won't caramelize as nice as yours did!

  • So scrumptious!! Thx for the post.

  • that looked delicious thank you maria

  • Oh, this looks soo good!!

  • I am makng this thanks for the video

  • Oh my goodness. This looks delicious. Thank you, I have always wanted to know how to make onion soup. ^_^
