  • In terms of widespread global acceptance by the public of alt-rock bands of the 2,000's Coldplay with over 50 million album sales well is ahead of Radioheads 30 million. The Rolling Stone rates Radiohead #73 among the greatest artists of all time, a very exclusive club. Radiohead took thing up a few notches in the aftermath of the 90's. In gauging the best band, one has to go with Radiohead over not just Muse, but a lot of today's rising favorites in terms of their artistic efforts alone.

  • i wish i wasn't 7 when this happened

  • Radiohead, Arcade Fire, The Strokes, The Killers, U2, among the 100 best albums of the 2000's didn't see Muse anywhere in the crowd?

  • @LiberTBo You can't honestly tell me that you think U2 is better than Muse. c'mon

  • @omegamymega I'm not going do debate who's the best, I'm refering to the Rolling Stone's review of the top 100 bands of the 2000's. I failed to add Coldplay and Bruce Springsteen. Check out the list. As for me, I haven't listened to much Muse. I do like all the others I listed, but I can't honestly say whether I like Muse or not.

  • @omegamymega I took a minute and gave Muse a listen. Not bad, I listened a song called "Uprising"not bad, I'm thinking the singer looks familiar, and I realized it's Matt Bellamy thats hanging with Kate Hudson the actress.Of the Brit bands I like Coldplay. also like the Arcade Fire a Canadian band which is fronted by American expatriots Win and Will Butler.

  • @LiberTBo You should check out there earlier stuff. This past album was probably their least special.

  • @omegamymega I have to some extent. I have, In Rainbows, OK Computer and Kid A are pretty good LP's, The King Of Limbs was not impressive at all. Overall, Radiohead is more provocative and intellectually challanging than Coldplay, but something in Coldplay's style reminds me of the Fab Four a lot, and I like that sometimes silliness.

  • Queen and radiohead are both good. now shut up and listen to the music.

  • Great vid but for the love of god, when someone is playing a guitar solo SHOW THE PERSON WHO'S PLAYING THE GUITAR SOLO.

  • @mijofrank I hate going on TV performances, take my solo, and it turns out that all the time they've been shooting the rhythm guitarist strumming away. Kinda defeats the point of being lead.

  • crowd is as amazing as radiohead themselves, wow

  • @TheAwexome this is impossible, but it's very close indeed.

  • i love this song...my fav song of their's

  • RADIOHEAD = PROPER BAND

  • that was one of the fastest "going from cheering to providing backgrounds vocals for a crowd that large" i have ever heard after the guitar solo...plus the conviction behind Thom's voice between 5:00 - 5:07 is simply moving

  • @Julsiebadboy I own it. I like it. Ok maybe not every song is the same, but they're just not as diverse or original as Radiohead.

  • @HAKSlide See, it is a very good album. And ofcourse they aren't as diverse as Radiohead. That would be near impossible. All i was saying was that you shouldn't say Muse is crap unless you have listened to a few of their better songs which haven't gone mainstream. Because Muse are a very good band. But nonetheless Radiohead is still better.

  • Let's not compare muse, radiohead and queen. 3 fantastic bands: My favorite band is Muse, I like Radiohead too and I'm not a very big fan of Queen, but that's my opninion... Let's stop saying that one of those bands sucks

  • Is someone seriously trying to compare queen to the greatness of Radiohead? And I know the Radiohead vs muse thing is big in Europe, but from my perspective it's no contest here in the states. muse is insignificant over here, and there's a reason for that. They're just another alternative band that gets some occasional play on the radio here. Radiohead is special. Nearly every muse song sounds like the one before it. That's not special

  • @HAKSlide Those of you in the States havent experienced Muse properly. Muse are incredibly diverse. Do yourself a favor and go and buy the album Origin Of Symmetry by Muse. It is like nothing you will have ever heard before. Muse are special. Listen to OoS and tell me that every song sounds the same. You won't. And most importantly, Muse is the greatest live band of all time and are far superior to any other band when it comes to their live performances.

  • @Julesiebadboy I never reply to Youtube comments but I have to say I really disagree. I loved Muse far before I ever listened to Radiohead. But they just don't compare to Radiohead. The musical quality, the multiple textures, the various styles, Radiohead just prevails on all fronts. Muse, in general, has a very distinct style, they haven't really changed much over their albums, with the exceptions of the symphony at the end of The Resistance. Muse is brilliant, but Radiohead is simply better.

  • @insomniacfan20

Wow, same for me! I was a huge Muse fan before I started listening to Radiohead. I think of Muse as showmen; I believe they are a much better live band. But I think of Radiohead as the kind of mad geniuses who are truly artists, and hence musically Radiohead stomps over Muse in the quality of their music.

But still, If I had to choose between going to a Muse show and a Radiohead, I'd choose the former.

  • @insomniacfan20 I agree. But keep in mind that I never said that Muse were on the same level as Radiohead. Radiohead are far superior in almost every respect (aside from live performances). Radiohead are far more superior musicians. Their music is of an incredibly high standard. All i was saying was that you shouldn't give Muse the thumbs down unless you have heard them at their best. Because Muse are a very good band. But yes as you said, Radiohead is better.

  • I Love Muse. I Love Queen. But fuck off, Radiohead is THE BEND(s) ;)

  • The thing i hate about live is all the faggots singing in the background...

  • Comment removed

  • Epic song, with lot of history inside, but after all and if i'm agree that OK Computer is an amazing album, Muse is for me the best rock alternative group ever, maybe because it's more my génération !!

  • They are the greatest band ever, along with pink floyd

  • @MrFreedomGotAnAK I think I might seriously consider them to be the greatest band... ever. They've done so much for the progression of the alternative rock genre and each and every one of their albums (After Pablo Honey at least) have been huge accomplishments in their own right. I can't think of a single song by Radiohead I dislike, or don't appreciate - they've managed to keep their music consistently amazing over the years. I can't think of any other band I can say the same of.

  • Agree with JerseyMcgee's comment above. I would just like to add that this is not Radioheads Bohemien Rhapsody this is BETTER than that :)

  • @B0DSKI get off it

  • @TheGareeh Never got anything from Queen. Radiohead on the other hand are IMO in the top 5 bands ever

  • @B0DSKI I have listened to Radiohead more than Queen but TKOL, Pablo Honey and Amnesiac are terrible. Don't compare them to Queen

  • @MrFreedomGotAnAK Radiohead Better than queen? Fucking Kidding me man, This is the only song that deserves to listen too.. altough greenwood is out of tone in the solo...

  • @DestromaticTime you have your opinions and I have mine.Queen are amazing but I personally found them a bit boring over time.

  • @MrFreedomGotAnAK Queen>Beatles, Radiohead>>Queen

  • The song that affected me the most...

  • 3:10 I did see that coming :D

  • 5:45 "My precious...!" ;)

  • @Allor1994 LOL

  • Watching this makes me wonder... How were they able to make this? HOW? WHY? The lyrics, the music, each one of them, every single sound or second is just magical and irreplaceable. I'm talking about this song, but each song, each album... It's unique. God, I swear now Radiohead's part of my soul. They're simply the best band on earth, and please stop comparing them, they are THE BAND. Thumbs up if your soul needs Radiohead. Thank You Radiohead.

  • Thumbs up if you want Radiohead and Muse to tour together !!!!!!

  • who dislikes this? we will NEVER have music like this again! EVER. T.T dont u realize that

  • @silentrain1203

Agreed. With what is available as popular music today and the industry dying, who can complain about Radiohead?

  • 3:05 is the most epic Glastonbury moment I've ever seen.

  • Why does Thom Yorke always seems to act like he's constantly on LSD?

(Not that I dont like, I love it.)

  • why is nobody mentioning the fucking magnitude of Johnny

  • 0:21 Jesus, how big is that crowd?!

  • He will eat you alive at 5:45.

  • meilleure version de cette chanson

  • ....speechless.

  • @cco43 Just look the video and you will know how drunk they were..

  • whats guitar is he using?

  • I love this band they're the only band that's actually good since the 60s and 70s!

  • paranoid android radiohead !

  • Radiohead's Citizen Erased

  • @JoTaCe360 haha lol, just what sprung to mind by me :P

  • @JoTaCe360 .if youre referring to muse's song then you are useless.that came out i 2001,this came out in 1997 me thinks,so yh i dont think so.

  • @M10663 I'm not referring to muse's song.

  • According to Colin Greenwood, this song is the result of a drunk evening and a bunch of pieces that didn't fit anywhere else. Radiohead should spend more time intoxicated if that's the case.

  • God I love getting pounded by my boyfriend while listening to this song. It IS the best.

  • @Myamazinganja what a stupid bimbo

  • I love that at 4:18 at the beginning of the most contemplative part of the song the girl in the audience looks at the guy next to her and thinks get the fuck away from me!

  • look the face at the 5:48 min "God love his childrens", amazing.

  • Radiohead>my math test

  • Best song of the 90s

  • is this song about schizophrenia?

  • @soberwinos No it's about the fall of the Roman empire. But schizophrenia might make more sence

  • @harr17 .the fall of the roman empire?rofl?

  • thom yorke is everything that modern musicians need, which is to be abit different, abit diverse, abit fucking weird.

  • What did he do last time?

  • Comment removed

  • They're a great band, but Thom Yorke is fucking weird.

  • this is radioheads bohemien rhapsody .......

  • @JerseyMcgee81 you mean bohemian rhapsody is Queen's paranoid android.....

  • @JerseyMcgee81 except for the fact this song is actually good and not overrated...

  • @qwertyasdfg132 thats a matter of opinion and not fact .

  • @JerseyMcgee81 true, I shouldn't have said that. I personally don't like that song, but It's a fact many people do. I don't judge them, I'll just keep listening to music I like =)

  • @JerseyMcgee81 Shut up don't even think about putting queen in the same category of radiohead wow just wow.

  • @jacobofunlivion like im gonna go back and forth with someone who likes Oasis, one of the worst bands to come out of brit pop

  • @JerseyMcgee81 *of all time.

  • @JerseyMcgee81 Bohemien Rhapsody is Queen's Paranoid Android .

  • @AlecEntwistle except that Bohemian Rhapsody is shit.

  • This is one of those songs that all musicians wish was theirs

  • "Ambition makes u look pretty ugly"

  • why cant their be any american bands as good as this?

  • @brncosdood41 Nirvana was, but it seems like that's about it.

  • @brncosdood41 I don't know why their aren't any good American bands over they're in America. I was their once and the people theyre just don't get it. But they do get how to use the appropriate there, their, and they're.

  • @brncosdood41 There were good american musicians like The Doors, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, The Velvet Underground, Nirvana, The Ramones, Pearl Jam, and The Pixies just off the top of my head.

  • Wooow Thom looks so monstruous and frustrated when he sings: "God loves his children". Very scary! Nonetheless best song ever produced :)

  • Thom's so awesome.

  • Living Bobble Head doll. Saw them in Atlanta in 2001. Fantastic show! :)

  • its nice to get so many replies... so, im not blaming thom for being in the spotlight all im sayin is that if you listen to in rainbows and the eraser - which were released at around the same time- you hear two totally different albums but - as i hear - the new feature, king of limbs is not just using the same instrumental noises as t.e. but its pretty similar in sound to ty's solo album- which i think is not a good sign and not a good way for the band

  • 77 people need new ears

  • "The panic, the vomit. God loves his children." always get chills from those two lines. Perfect song.

  • I am a classical musician at heart but Radiohead are just awesome. Their music is so diverse and thought provoking!

  • Very much agreed| To concieve of this song is quite impressive.

  • how the hell did they go from this to the new crap?

  • @punkmom08 Did Vincent Van Gogh repaint the same picture slightly different every time because he knew it would sell? No like any real artist he did something different every time. Radiohead said NO to the record company who no doubt wanted Ok Computer another 3 times please and decided to really push themselves to try something new and original with Kid A. Dont try and be smart and reply to tell me that Van Gogh's work was worthless when he died cause we know that already.

  • @punkmom08 You just don't understand it, clearly.

  • @ThePooky8197 yeah, now try convincing @lordmalberry about that. he seems very sure that the guy is dead. Okey, the rumours exist that he died, but you know, the guy have been touring around the world now, man. so, a guy just like him is playing at the gigs now?

  • Paranoid Android is like a tidal wave encompassing and engulfing all the other songs from the history of rock and roll.

  • live noel Gallagher ...great guitarist in his era.bt jG stil the most unique guitarist in this world.

  • man, Mccartney is alive.

  • @Whateveranybody er...yeah, he is. well done?

  • /that a big fucking festival 0.o

  • No he's dead. Remember his last good song was Let it be, and his bare feet on the Abbey Road cover prove it. Rumours that he's alive are just ridiculous, Mccartney would never have penned the shit that's been recorded under his name since the 60's.

  • @lordmalberry excuse me? "his last good song was Let it be" ...have you even heard "band on the run"? wake up mate.

  • Band on the Run!!!!! Hilarious - you like bloody Wings!!!! I thought you were a knob: and I was right. You like granny musak!!!

  • W£€D o.O? idk why but it seems lool nah ... this live sux =x and i love the normal music lol

  • Classy as shit, phil with the suit.

  • thom looks even more like a demented genius than usual at 5:45...

  • This is just one the best songs i ever heard.. Thanks

  • Oh my god. Unbelievable. Greatest live paranoid android. Yeah, Lennon and Maccartney are the best, but Radiohead could have been as good as the Beatles had Yorke not wanted to shun the limelight. OK computer is the best album ever, the Citizen Kane of rock music. If Lennon, Mccartney, and Hendrix for that matter had seen this, they all would have shat themselves and realised that they'd been topped. After this song, where can rock music possibly go? Only on way: down.

  • @lordmalberry You do realize Mccartney is still alive, don't you? He's a fan of them, I believe.

  • raaain dooown...raaain dooown...from a greeeat heeeight

    am i fading away?

  • not gonna lie... this song did not live up to the hype at all. I'm disappointed.

  • @beefygreenapples Fuck you man.

  • @VVVic411 Anger management much? It's still a mostly free country and we all have the right to express our opinions.

  • @beefygreenapples -

Yes, but I'm pretty sure VVVic411 gets to express his opinion as well.

  • the biggest problem with radiohead (nowadays mostly, but its even recogonizable right here in this vid) is that they aint show greenwood (not even under the solo) but thom york 'being weird' with his guitar. my god how sad was that moment when i saw jg playing the drums in one of their new feature...

  • @Lattant i agree that they should show jg everytime he solos... especially on paranoid android. but don't you think that's more of a problem with the camera man, not radiohead?

  • @alexjohnlockwood if you ask one of their notdiehardfans who say 'oh i love the radiohead. so vivid so imaginative, alternative stuff they playin so touchin my soul" many times they will not be able to tell you who the fuck is johnny greenwood, but they know exactly who is ty. and thats cuz now theyre advertised with york creeping (see lotus flower or even king of limbs) but thats actually not that big problem in every band the singer is most commonly known, but i often have the feeling

  • @Lattant that this song or thing or idunnowhat is not about radiohead but rather but thom york himself

  • @Lattant (thats what i feel)

  • @Lattant I fail to see your complaint.

  • @Lattant This isn't a problem with radiohead, this is a problem with the production of the video... and if you're referring to 'There There' with Johnny Greenwood playing drums, that isn't new, it's about 8 years old and it was done to better the song. He's one of the most diverse musicians of our time, don't limit him to one instrument

  • @guigby just to show: everyone has written 'thom' instead of tom (however its normally spelled as t-o-m) and weve all (even i) written johnny but he writes it without the 'h': jonny greenwood. thats what im speaking bout

  • @Lattant Yes it is spelled Jonny instead of Johnny but you're wrong about Thom Yorke. And that's beside the point. I still don't understand your complaint. Like I said, Jonny Greenwood is so diverse he shouldn't be limited to just guitar

  • @Lattant if you're a real fan of the music, the videos like these shouldnt concern you too much tbh. its not them that arrange the videos; they're arranged in a certain way because of media and publicity-its just typical to show more of the front man. even though it is a bit of a shame, its just how it is. besides, you listen to the albums-you can hear all of them perfectly (and darn you can hear johnny) so it's hakuna matata.

  • @Lattant WTf you even talking about? They are a band and this is a nice recording. "Greenwood" isn;t the band..they are a whole.

  • @Lattant

He doesn't like to be the focus of attention. Thom doesn't either but he can't avoid it.

  • @Lattant Isn't that just shitty camera work, though? But isn't it that what young want people these days.? "Don't show me one image too long or I'll lose interest" or is it the media deciding that quick fragmented images are what people need and desire?

  • @mizzury54 young people also only want to watch thom yorke showing off.

  • @Lattant not their fault per se, the problem is with the people recording it.

  • @Lattant so the biggest problem with Radiohead (the band itself, the music it makes) is that the cameramen show Thom instead of Greenwood? Makes sense. Yeah, it would be nice to see Greenwood while he solos but I don't see how Radiohead controls who the camera shows and how that relates to the quality of their music.

  • @countrygentleman10 i see that theres a couple of you who are really into my comment pls check the otherone's ive written on this topic - theresjustafew- i ve already said everything i could - read back if you are interested

  • I can't help but to sing from 3:55 and on. But I'm sure my neighbors are like wtf is going on in apt.8c. If they ever knock and ask I'll say I'm busy bitch, and take your heels off when walking around up there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • De lo mejor en Glastonbury. The creeps.

  • i found an oasis fans in 4:41 haha

  • Thom Yorke loves his children...

  • I don't care it's NME's top song of the last fifteen years, for me WONDERWALL is no1.

  • @Dzastynas *loses faith in humanity*

  • @Dzastynas

I think that they released their song 1995! And we're now in 2011 which mean that the song was 16 years ago! But they should be at no.1!

  • @Dzastynas Wonderwall came out in '95, tardo. That's more than 15 years ago

  • @daddyfatsaxohten

Really? Thanks for repeating what somebody wrote 3 months ago. And not knowing of when a song released doesn't make you a retard. It's even more retard if you fucking know the dates like a no-lifer. And no-lifers exists in any topic, music is no exception.

  • I don't think English vocabulary possesses words sufficient enough to describe the awesomeness of Radiohead.

  • Hahahaha he's kinda funny thou...

  • i try really hard, but i can't get to like radiohead, it's not bad but just not my style
