honestly there both great sports, I own a kwa atp and a gog envy. I treat my guns well and oil them(silicon for the atp) and have come down to the conclusion that both sports are good. Paintball is just more popular, and if you ask me way to popular. I went to a paintball field and there was like 20moms dropping and renting there 10-11 year old kids to play. Not fun, airsoft is good but the problem is stupid kids who play backyard. Airsoft is more realistic and paintball is more of a sport

ive played both i used to be on the practise roster for team dynasty in paintball played in 2 tournaments both in tampa in seperate years i own a 2200$ airsoft gun and i dont own a paintball gun anymore since i play airsoft alot more but i have nothing against paintball or airsoft their pretty much the same thing they both hurt and leave welts (cept for airsoft it makes u bleed more then 99.99% of the time i think we should unite against nerf players who think their better then us!!! thumbs up!!

@braiinD3AD actually, I have to disagree. The Best Airsoft Guns out on the market are the ones between the $170 to $250 range. Sure Paintball is fun when you are in speedball, but the Airsofting community has CQB. Sure you have Woodsball, but have you been in a skirmish of airsofters that didnt have guns from Walmart, Dicks , or any sporting goods store? It takes strategy, stealth,precision,to win. not saying that painball isnt anywhere near that. Paintball is more of a run and gun game.

Paintball is more sporty and easier to organize for such tournament events (nice stadium lol). Airsoft is more gear based which can turn up really intense military simulations (check out operation irene on airsoftGI, trucks pyrotechnics and stuff :D) Both are pretty tactical, just in a different way, paintball more on speed, and airsoft more on player type (like support gunners)

I see both sides though. Being retired army, I love the looks and tactical aspect of airsoft, but don't like the fact that it's the honour system. Too easy to abuse. Kinda hard with paintball, as yuo wind up with big spots of paints everywhere. I love the markers for airsoft though.

Sorry, not convinced. I was a scenario/woodsball player for years before transitioning to airsoft, and I have to say that the honor and laid back attitude of airsofters has kept me coming back for the last nine years.
@asvn60 from my experience with both i feel that people grow bonds with pb guns(sounds wierd but its true) this results with many paintballers keeping there guns and just upgrade the shit out of the gun and in airsoft you may see the same thing but i find people usually buy new guns and sel the old ones in asoft
I've seen them both. the younger set down here have that mentality, but you also find that in the real steel world. keeps guys in the game, introduces new players, and alsokeeps everyone in business. in any gun culture, its the small shops that are the center of the culture.
it seems that in PB anymore, you need an electro gun to compete, and i wasn't about that. rate of fire does not a player make.

go onto your average open play field. the true dominators on the field are the electroguns. at least that was always my experience.
on the airsoft field, i have seen neophytes moving smart and aggresively with a spring shotgun take me and my 4000 round monster M60 down. i never saw that in paintball.

I tend to disagree about the variety of guns. As for the sport, we play on the same fields and share the same parking lots. The only differents between what we shot is the cal.
we play outlaw paintball on my private 12 acre woodsball field for about 15.00 a day, that gets you co2 and 500 paintballs. doesn't have to be expensive
I have to admit this is a fair video, the only one Ive seen so far. It shows they are both great. The only reason Im an airsofter now is because I got tired of spending a hundred dollars for ammo for one freakin day. now i spend bout 10 a day. Im always the over kill guy ha thats my nickname. Airsoft is more gear based which can turn up really intense military simulations (check out operation irene on airsoftGI, trucks pyrotechnics and stuff :D) Both are pretty tactical, just in a different way, paintball more on speed, and airsoft more on player type (like support gunners)

Yeah..this vid isn't unbiased. It's al about paintball, with a token airsoft segment. I play paintball, and I have to say this is compeltely biased towards paintball.
I see both sides though. Being retired army, I love the looks and tactical aspect of airsoft, but don't like the fact that it's the honour system. Too easy to abuse. Kinda hard with paintball, as yuo wind up with big spots of paints everywhere. I love the markers for airsoft though.

to be honest. airsoft just looks like a bounch of old guys trying to relive their army days. only reason id do airsoft is its cheaper. you need less gear, less clean up and you can do it just about anywhere. airsoft is what you do when your paintball gun is broken

paintball SUCKS.... it was fun in the 1980s (hahahah i wasnt even born then) but AIRSOFT is BETTER because....the guns look realistic (adding a greater appeal towards the guns, instead of paintball where you buy a gun and it looks just like the next guys. unless your willing to pay a thousand dollars. Airsoft is a game based on trust, not on gay pink paint. and paintball is much more expensive if you want a reliable gun and ammo.

It requires teamwork, strategy, communication, etc. Airsoft is a great sport but doesnt compare to paintball. Plus nowadays paintball guns are really starting to look like real guns if u play woods. paintball is a competitive sport... players can be very dependent on themselves... you gotta have your skills... just like the way you would play halo or COD. airsoft is 2 things... game, simulation, and should be played by older crowd... and not really much skills... but training and dependent on teamates. I've seen them both. the younger set down here have that mentality, but you also find that in the real steel world. keeps guys in the game, introduces new players, and alsokeeps everyone in business. in any gun culture, its the small shops that are the center of the culture.
it seems that in PB anymore, you need an electro gun to compete, and i wasn't about that. rate of fire does not a player make.

go onto your average open play field. the true dominators on the field are the electroguns. at least that was always my experience.
on the airsoft field, i have seen neophytes moving smart and aggresively with a spring shotgun take me and my 4000 round monster M60 down. i never saw that in paintball.

we play outlaw paintball on my private 12 acre woodsball field for about 15.00 a day, that gets you co2 and 500 paintballs. doesn't have to be expensive

The only reason Im an airsofter now is because I got tired of spending a hundred dollars for ammo for one freakin day. now i spend bout 10 a day. Im always the over kill guy ha thats my nickname. yeah ive watched pump paintball players ha they can really play. though i get tired of going to the paintball park cause they have really nice maps, every time every paintballer there has to be a complete asshole so Im just going to stick at the gaint airsoft fields. we also got pulled over last friday cause someone thought we were terroist and the cop almost shot me cause our guns are all black and full metal. the almost arrested my friend and we aren't allowed in that part of memphis now haha
