  • Somethin about that Detroit organ that I like! Its so bassy!

  • That organ makes you feel good

  • I love it! play!!!!

  • i luv this he got so much skills

  • ALRIGHT COGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • my cuz no he can write some songs

  • COGIC ALL DAY!

  • COGIC ALL DAY!

**Thomas Whitfield,Rudolph Stanfield, Gregory Troy,Fred Nelson, and a few others were playing like this in the Spiritual Church long before they went to the COGIC..That why in a previous post I mentioned the new commers like Tony Lucas, Brian Watkins, Curtis Pearson all from DTW and Eric Thomas, Wendell Lowe, Leonard Maddox and Ramon Perry of Chicago have that style as well.

  • I know some Baptist boys that play in the same style here in North Carolina.

  • Go on WID it!! Some kinda talent right there -

    Nothing better -

  • go on WID it...turn it all the way out -

Some kinda talent right up there!

  • I was just at Craig Memorial Tabernacle 2 wks ago and Tony Lucas on the organ and Volley Craig together are a force to be reckoned with..I was ripped all day..Beat down church..Took me back to the old days of PT. Why wouldnt it..lol

  • Now that's real CHURCH!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song was recorded by the Anderson Sanctuary Choir on Malaco about 4 years ago, it is still in print, the song is the same but have a lead to it as well

  • why is the organ so deep oh yeah it's his seeting i like it

  • I sure would love to have the words to this song. I can't make most of them out over the awesome organ playing...anyone that can help me out, may God Bless you!

  • I was saying Rev.Gregory Troy used to play a another church and helps out Craig Memorial Tab and has started his own ministry.

  • James Brown and Micheal Mindingall are good with the contempory DTW sound, and they do church well too. There is a guy Chicago names Rev. Wendell Lowe that can give you that Detroit sound and you'd think Tommy and Rudy were right on the organ..I mean that Sunday morning church sound man..

  • I love praise and worship music, however I miss good ol' devotional songs that grandma can promenade to just thinking about the goodness of Jesus..They cant stand for 45 off of Isreal and some of this P & W music.

  • Boy this sound reminds me old Prayer Tabernacle affectionately called PT..These new cats just dont get it. I like to feel like im in church on Sunday morning, and not some jazz hall or disco. Ok give me a lil' bit but not too much...

  • You know your Detroit Music.... Rudy Stansfield wrote this song and he had ties to Prayer Tabernacle with the Craig Brothers and their Father, James Cleveland, and Thomas Whitfield.......

  • Wow the funny thing is i just q'd it up..

  • I love the Detroit style man that Tommy had from Alfred and Rev.Nicks..The generations following have done well..Pastor Sonny Woods, Rev.Gregory Troy, Tony Lucas and Curtis and the others..And of course Pastor Rudy Stanfield..What i appreciated about him and Tommy was they could go from left to right and still give you CHURCH.

  • U R Right... I saw Herbert Pachard at a dinner that Carol Cole gave here in Detroit..

U know Gregory is playing for Bishop Brooks now....And do you know Reynolds Hemphill? I got a few videos of him playing too...He got that flavor too...

  • You mean Rev.Gregory Troy is at St.Paul ??

  • Yes Gregory is playing for St. Paul can you believe that....lol!!!!!I want to see Gregory go to Memphis... You know Bishop Brooks is the 1st Vice President of COGIC....

  • Wow ! I know he was at at Baptist church last I and pastoring, as well as helping the Craigs from time to time..Is David Berry still there ?..Thats another bad musician.

  • Where at St. Paul or Craig? I know David is bad.. I heard he just started his own choir

  • Hey Ovaljean? Do you play the keyboards and the organ? Ask Elder Robert Moore if he has any more videos. Can you let me know how that I can get them? Thanks

  • Hey Ovaljean,

Are you a member of Greater Mitchell Temple Church of God in Christ in Detroit, MI where the Pastor is Bishop John H. Sheard?

Isn't he the father of Supt. J. Drew Sheard?

  • Yes I am a member, and Yes that is Supt. J. Drew's Father........

  • Why you can't teach me that. You cold Mo.

  • This is Anthony Holston I recorded this last night @ Greater Mitchell COGIC. Mo Going to Mansfield Tonight

  • where does this guy elder moore play at and where is he from?

  • He's the Jursdictional Music Department President for Southwest #1 for Bishop John H. Sheard in Detroit Michigan. If you look at the shoutouts in the Cd jackets of the Clark Sister's and KiKi Sheard's they call him Uncle Mo.

  • how old is uncle mo? He atleast 55 right?

  • You're tryin to be funny again right????

  • He's in his 30's he's Uncle Mo to their children!!!

  • how was church today? Did you have to play?

  • Yes check out my recent video at the Baptist Church I play for the decon is singing Amazing Grace

  • naw man lol. I aint trying to be funny. You said that twinkie clark calls him uncle mo so I figured that he must be around their age like 55 or something.

  • The children of the Clark Sisters refer to him as Uncle Mo. I won't explain this no more!!!
