This is abosolutely ridiculous! And I mean the criticism, not your performance. The accent does not quite work with this song, it is supposed to be a bit more cute rather than belty, however you have a fantastic voice! I love the rich vibrato of your chest voice contrasting the lilt in your head voice. Your voice may not be the best for this particular song, but you definently have a strong, pretty voice.
No problem! If you are a Wicked! fan, you may actually want to considering attempting some of Elphaba's songs. Though you are obviously an alto, I would suggest maybe something like "No Good Deed". It would suit your voice well, seeing as it is powerful song, however it does not go to high for your range. Best of luck!
I think the concept was interesting. Taking the song and performing with an accent definately raises the difficulty level, so I commend you on that. Speaking and singing with accents is slightly different though. It doesn't have all the same rules, so not all accent stresses are needed to make it convincing as opposed to when you're speaking. More practice with the accompaniest would have been helpful to keep consistency in the rhythm. Not too bad, but could have been better :)

there were times when i could barely hear u when u sang low...and then to switch to a high note right after hurt my ears a bit.. U can sing but i think you should learn how to control your voice or maybe learn how to make it sound nice...
I know that Popular is a VERY hard song to sing, but it requires work and a decent piano player. Not THAT bad, but not really great either. Didn't really like the dance you did with the "La-la"s. And the "were - or, are? -- popular...lar" should be a bit more accentuated, not just with quotes, but with minor pauses. Watch Kristen Chenoweth perform and you'll get the idea. Don't listen to the others - it didn't suck. Really.

Actually, I think she's plenty good enough. I didn't see any problem with her voice and the song, really. She's not pitchy at all (and personally I think that's a Randy from American Idol word and whouldn't be used in everyday life) and I didn't hear her go out of tune. Really, the only parts I heard that didn't fit the song were the places where words got pronounced weird- but English is obviously not a first language, and that's totally acceptable. I loved it.
Even music majors need to know how to write. Before judging someone else (who may or may not be trying to be a professional), get yourself to be perfect. If this post can be considered evidence, you quite a journey ahead of you.
The piano person was a litle too slow. But I agree with that other person, the French accent is a pretty touch. Makes it so cute! >w< And the dancing to 'la la la la' was really fun too.

Your voice wasn't the greatest, but with some work, it could be decent.
