I really appreciate your feedback and clearing up a lot of things about WLS. I go see my surgeon Monday 10/31/11 to schedule my surgery and for my results visit. I had all my pre-op stuff and I am currently on a mandatory CPAP machine....I am a black woman and it feels so good to know others like myself have at this and are not being so negative about it. Thanks.

I'm so nervous. i'm hearing so many things. I don't want to take pills for the rest of my life...that worries me. I don't have high blood pressure, or high cholesterol or even diabetes...so i worry that i would be making a bad decision by having the surgery but i've been unsucessful at all other attempts.

@carmeleve totally worth it! i didnt have ne health issues either jus too fat lol but now im almost 4 months out and have lost 80lbs.. i went thru ALOT during my surgery too.. my husband went to jail the day after my surgery so my recovery was hard, but it was all worth it!

LOL! @ Cleaning your pipes....Girl, ROTFL!!!! I understand COMPLETELY!!!! I had my gastric bypass surgery in October of 2006, and I STILL have to REALLY think before I eat out somewhere, because I KNOW that without warning, I'm going to need to get to a powder room FAST!!!! i have my surgery in April and i'm not nervous but i still dont understand the vitamins.... the vitmetrix is nasty and i cant drink it, so how can i drink it to get down my vitamins....

Thank you so much for posting this!! I will be having my surgery done in December 2010. I at times still go back and forth of whether this is something I want to do. But lately the closer I get, the more confident I become about this choice. Listening to your posting really helped me realize that I am ready to this and that I am courageous enough 4 this. Thanks
