  • THAT LOOKS HARD TO DO

  • very pretty and natural

  • Great demo! The music was so relaxing, that I found myself getting sleepy!

  • this vid was actually very helpful, and the music was really relaxing.i would have enjoyed it more if every step was explained as you were doing it.

  • @lilpuppydogg Why lose our heritage over being brought to AMERICA AGAINST OUR WILL. What is our "UNIQUE RACE"? NOT BEING AFRICAN OR OF AFRICAN DECENT. YOU ARE IRGNORANT! NEXT TIME YOU DECIDED TO TELL SOMEONE TO NOT ACCEPT THEIR RACE OR THEIR HERTIAGE- MAKE SURE YOU DO THE SAME!!!

  • African American? Doesn't it sound like self-disrespect? It is a very little left in Black Americans of Africans. In fact, the majorit of the whole race was selected and mixed. So why not to take REAL PRIDE of Your UNIQUE race as My bf does? Why to call Yourself 'Africans' if Your great-grandparents were born in America or Europe and had nothing to do with African culture?

  • This girl is dark skin

  • How boring! I hate MUA's that think Black women can only wear gold.

  • Wow!...beautiful!!:O)

  • I liked the way it turned out but for a min there I thought she was going to have that ghost face appearance.

  • she don't need all that stuff

  • I clicked on this vid looking to see what an AFRO american looked like. I still don't know. Maybe that's because an AFRO is a hair style not a race. I see what some of you may call an African American- (she aint black)! Truth be told she can be Dominican, Haitian, Cuban, Puerto Rican, or any other race of people that come in various skin tones other than WASP. So if a dark skinned person had wavy hair, are they then a Wavy American?

  • at first i was thinking wth, thats a bit light. but the lady clearly knew what she was doing because the end result was very nice!

  • what type of moisturezer did you use and how can you find the right concealer for black skin types my skin is close to the models not much

  • Very good job i have to admit. anyone who thinks otherwise is definitely blind.

  • I`m asian, but dark skin..

i love this video, that make up look so natural and soft..

    O(∩_∩)O

  • you did a great job

  • This is a very nice soft look. Good work!

  • the chose a good model. great potential!

  • I like! the model was beautiful ,which always make things easier! Not the type of girls you'd see on the catwalk, but she had a very soft, pleasing face. You created a lovely look for her.

  • You actually happen to be rather gorgeous, many thanks for the video tutorial. it's sad im living within Clarksville City mainly because i cannot get very good cosmetics, however, i find no charge samples of makeup through 'Gratis Makeup Samples'. i absolutely adore Revlon make-up!

  • this was really nice, She is a true make-up artist, I confess that the first foundation colour was looking ashy but then she BLENDED and matched the girl's face to her neck and body beautifully! Those who are critcising prob didn't watch all the way to the end in my opinion.

  • wow afro american

  • This is 'bout as good as it gets!

  • the fuck ? shit looks a hot ass mes !

  • she looks good :)

  • You did a wonderful job!! She looks good.

  • Ugh, the music is soooo annoying.

  • i'm sorry, that woman is doing a hot mess on that chics face. She's looking too grey, she looks like a dead woman in a coffin. No thanks. Because the foundation is the wrong shade it's actually failing to cover the apparent blemishes and spots.

  • "OK" job, the total finish just has a passable matte appeal. That's it.

  • I think this is a very pretty natural look!

  • Foundation pretty much started at 2:19, it is not too light. And the powder set it wonderfully. What is wrong with people! Always with the drama cause someone doesn't do things how they do it.

I like the outcome. She looks nice.

  • mamma mia che palle... ma quanta roba le mette in faccia! o.O

  • if you listen to any of the video you'd know the first liquid she puts on (the almost white shade) is MOISTUREIZER guys, then concealer, thennnnn she puts on the foundation which matches the model's skintone well.

  • Y'all are exagerrating, you acted like she did a Lil Kim look;wearing 5 shades lighter than your skin tone.

Really, she only did like one shade lighter and that's because throughout the day, the oils react to the makeup causing an orange or muddy effect. By keeping it a little lighter, when it gets oily, it won't get orangey or muddy. She did a good job.

  • I think she looked really nice

  • wow... i don't see what everyone else is seeing i guess lol. i watched the whole video, beginning to end, and i happen to like the results. the girl was light-skinned anyway so it didn't really look all that bad. her skin looked flawless and even at the end so i don't see why no one really likes it lol *shrug* i thought it turned out fine =)

  • WTF? Are you being serious, the foundation was way too light!...hell, it was even lighter than the makeup artist, she did get the technique right but the basics wrong...I don't like the results...

  • the powder kinda saved it but the base was way to light for her skintone

  • the foundation is too white!! looks like a mask, she also forgot to make up the ears

  • is itjust me or did she look albino afterwards??? smh

  • The make up is much too light and she should have steamed her skin first to blot out the discolorations and uneven tones.

  • atelier peinture???

    painting workshop???

  • lol is she serious..

  • two beautiful women.

  • i mean her makeup...lol

  • um shes kinda white

  • the makeup artist has good technique however the base is all wrong.

  • beautiful

  • So wrongggggggg

    that base its to white

  • the foundation was all wrong for the model's skin, it carries a "yellowish" look which makes the make up look very unnatural, you can tell she is wearing layers upon layers of make up which should never happen... this lady has no clue how to apply makeup to black skin

  • she basically paints ur face...and y the hell is she SHAVING her eyebrows!!

  • horrible.

  • Okay....here's the balance with the video......wrong foundation color for her gorgeous skin; however, the application of the makeup was wonderful....the makeup artist just needs to match her with the correct foundation color....other than that, I feel her technique for applying the makeup was wonderful =)

  • the foundation colour was right... she started off her face with a primer which as a rule must be lighter than the skin tone. Te foundation is only a shade lighter than her skin tone because after a few hours the skin gets darker. Excellent make-up application!

  • beautiful

  • It makes me laugh when they refer to every black person in the world as (African American)

  • wtf is she doing with that foundation to a beautiful BLACKskinned woman???

  • Why the fuck is her foundation so light??? she is a fuckin make up artist get your shit together.. this is what u do for a living...

  • i'm not a make up artist but i do know make up. that foundation is all wrong

  • i don't think the foundation is totall her skin tone and i wish she could explain a step by step insight to what makeup she's using and how to apply but apart from that the lady is really pretty

  • I am loving that lip gloss. it looks very pretty on her skin. minus the god awful foundation

  • oh my! When I aw the mismatched foundation it just killed me, didn't expect the outcome to look this good!

    lol

    good job

  • I know init !

I wudda done a friggin better job !

  • i wish i could hear what they are saying.

  • painted her like a clown.

  • HER FACE TOO WHITEEEEE

  • tres bo makillage, franchemen felicitation a la makilleuz, c simple, classe et magnifique... bravo

  • bon maquillage?? t'es aveugle? elle l'a maquillée comme une femme blanche! franchement, elle n'a rien captée!

  • let me translate to y'all wut this person is saying. Good makeup?? are you blind? she has makeup like a white woman, truly she didn't do a good job.

  • The model looks ASHY...lol

  • kel changemen ala fin magnifikkkkkkkk olalala

  • menh.......thats a whole lot of foundation

  • What is afro american i thought the correct term was AFRICAN AMERICAN THANK YOU!!

  • omg why are asians so freakin pretty! perfect hair and everything. gawd makes me jealous!!!! ;]

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamazing

  • She put alot of foundation on her face, but she had bad ski to start with so I understand

  • geez! get a better looking person than that ! *gags* lol

  • a job well done!

  • This is okay.. I mean it's not my skin tone. I'm darker toned. But as a 14 year old this look like a 41 year old style. It looks good on her i guess..

  • i really don't understand this. when she does her foundation - its not even the rigt tone - the girl could have done this herself

  • I am so sorry...this video is making me sick. why is she continuously caking all that mess onto her skin, she woulda just been fine with some eye shadow and a little color on her lips. This video saddens me for the simple fact that it is showing that "black" skin can be "madeover" with all that damn shit caked onto her beautiful brown skin, what the hell. It's sad what the world considers Beautiful.

  • did i see a MAC eyeshadow?

  • I liked it without the blush, but other than that looks pretty good!!!

  • u dont need a professional to achieve this result

    sorry

  • i like the way her skin was glowing at the end, I think it was a job well done

  • Beautiful job on her eyes. I wish there was a tutorial for the that alone, which listed the products used. Aside from that however, I do agree with others about the foundation color being a bit too light.. (unless the pink liquid was just.... a moisturizer?)

  • come on guysis not that bad

  • not nice..very boring, foundation does not match!!

  • This looks terrible!

The worst make up I have seen please dont let her do your make up again

Get in touch with Erin from scandalous Beauty she will hook you up!

    Thanks!

  • i dont like it....

  • Truly gorgeous I want this loook please send me a msg to what products you used and such thanks a ton

  • Obviously the color of the foundation didn't matter in the end because it blended great.

Just the blush and lips didn't do much for me.

  • that is one ANNOYING song...

  • lord totally agree . it got me in an irritable mood by the time the vid was over

  • Very pretty. I like the look.

  • Is it me? OR was that a bit much?

  • well it's not bad ..

    but 10 min makeup is 2much ..

it take's me 2 min to finish my make up ;)

  • I'm not prepared to watch anyone that put's pink foundation on a black chick!

  • lovely!!!

  • it looks great! but the foundation is 1 or 2 shades to light

  • cute good job

  • totally wrong shade of foundation. is it peachy pink or rosy white?

  • this was a mess..she doesnt need to do make-up

    it was too pink

  • yup, and she put a pund of make up on that girl too, she didnt need that much foundation and blush

  • the make-up was allright

i just hated the background music

  • no, but i have a nice pig skin color you might like to try out ;]

  • pixieisgay, you ARE racist!! That's not even remotely funny. Why would you even make a comment like that? Do you know how hurtful and terrible that word is??

  • ummm im no makeup artist either but she put on way too much foundation or something because it is a totally different shade and looks too heavy.

  • I'm not a make-up artist... so maybe I am missing something, but the end result makes her face look a different color than her neck and shoulders. It looks as though she is wearing a *lot* of make-up. I suppose with a collared blouse it wouldn't be as noticeable, but you can see that her face has a certain dullness that doesn't suit the "glowy" quality of her skin (such as the base of her neck [pause at 09:55 to see what I mean].)

  • & for you, I think we should use the term, fucktard ?

  • Good job. In the future, please delve more into products and techniques. Thank you.

  • yo she looks ashy..

  • Afro American? There are black people all over the world. I'm Black and from England....this is the world wide web everyone can see it not just American people...just say Black or of African descent. Dont mean to get at u tho cool make up

  • ass

  • honky!!!

  • Moron.

  • asswipe

  • wa d hell hapen to u hoss?

  • that was uncalled for and ignorant.

  • She did a really good job. Her skin was flawless afterwards.

  • at first it seeme dlike that was too light for her..but it looks great in the end. people prolly thought it was too light becasue black women have 2 toned skin and it seem sshe match teh foundation to the lighter of the 2 tones.

  • wow...fell asleep watching...that music..that video!!!

  • she didnt do a good job at all. I mean the foundation is just totally off...poor sista looks pale. what kinda magic was that. she loked beter without the makeup.

  • working in makeup and being white, a lot of women of color don't want me to foundation match them. but we get trained to know what we're doing, so does any makeup artist. i just wish more video tutorials didn't just show light to medium skin tones..but the deeper ones as well. also tips for applying shadows and lips to them as well. i can't find any, and that is one skin tone (deeper tones) that IS more tricky as far as lips and eyes go.

    as far as her

  • well you work in makeup, so grab a model and put up a video :)

  • isnt the foundation a lil light 4 her??

  • U ARE SO RIGHT! thats not he color.

  • Bebie ur totally right.i dont understand why everyone is so upset.she did a great job.and she was willing to work on an ebony skin toned woman to help others figure out how she did her make-up.although she really didnt tell us what she was putting on her face im sure most of u know it was foundation.but once again she did a wondeful job:)

  • Why is everyone so upset about and asian

girl working on ebony skin. im impressed

how interested she is in black culture.

usually people are against our black people.

  • HUMPA HUMPA!!!..

  • i think you did a good job with her look but, it just took a little bit too much time I could only do a look like this for special occasions when i have time to get ready. but overall it turned out nice :) great skills

  • i cant trust it.. shes asian, not african. wtf like.

  • she doesn't have to be black to know howto do it!! ppl show interest in back ppland what they get in return s racism!! k cavolo scusami!ma siete proprio insoprtabili!! they study cosmetcs so they will know what colors will look good on dak skin!!!

  • why is a asian girl showing how to aply make up on a aro-american???? O_O but she did it great anyway :D

  • whats wrong with that?

  • her skin is grey now

  • I know, whats up with that??

  • last time i checked it was african american NOT afo-american

  • maybe thats how she translated it to. Around the world every one says afro american not african american.

  • Blending is key in make-up application but this was ridiculous!!This make-up artist blended the foundation so long she made my face hurt!Enough was enough!Considering the time it took her to do this make-over I was disappointed at the outcome.I'm not a professional make-up artist but I can make up 3 of my friends in the time it took her to make up this one.Black women need to appreciate their color, learn how to care for their own skin and do their own make-up. Why should someone else do it?

  • The only thing that bugged me was how long it took you to apply the foundation. That was way too long. In the begginging I was like wow that foundation looks horrible and then all of a sudden she looked sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pretty I was like wow, you did an awesome job girlie I loved the look!

  • what at amazing skill

  • the foundation DID NOT match her. it did seem to "melt" into her skin towards the end of the video, but that foundation was not a match.

however, great job on the eyes.

  • but thats the whole idea of make up the fact that it blends. she had a bad skin so the best thing to do was use a lighter foundation and then use a darker powder that why it blends...............lol

  • Actually no. The whole purpose of foundation is to find the closest match and that match was not right and probably the undertones did not fit. Also, with bad skin it's important to chose to right formula for the woman's skin type (oil-free, etc.). Also, purpose of powder is to set the foundation.

Don't try to school me on make-up, I know my stuff, especially for minorities.

Like I stated earlier, the eye make-up was great, but there could have been a better pick of foundation.

  • And yes, I do agree blending is key, but there's more to it than that.

  • the thing is we cant really judge u know because the girls face had about 5 different colours. but i agree with u if it was someone else with a smoother face. i also commented at first that the foundation was too damned much it was as if she was painting her face. but who am i to judge coz the end result was lovely n am sure after a few minutes the foundation would av melted into her skin.....lol

  • You aren't making too much sense with your comment. We can judge because we've seen the process from start to finish and the end result. Since this woman is a professional make-up artist (as assumed) she should've known better.

But anyways, it is what it is.

  • not so good

  • This look does NOT look natural. The foundation does not match her skin tone.

  • Great makeup application - great results at the end - it look very natural, it didn't overpower her beauty, it complemented it very well.

  • i really love it but i would of added more colors on the eyes maybe a green or a blue but gold looks beautiful

  • if only the foundation didn't look like chalk on her brown skin

  • no it's very natrual

  • I agree.

  • agreed.

  • what a great tsansformation, i love!
