@Wynjful Aww! Is your budgie tame now? I see this comment is a little old, so he may or may not be. I got my budgie for christmas when he was 3 months old, and it only took me a month before he was completely tame and comfortable enough to fly.
My birds used to be so talkative, and now one of them has, what I think is, an infection and they are not as active as they used to be. I: I'm trying really hard to make them better...
@bluefalcon916 WOW! Mine is super tiny in comparison. Max (my parakeet) is starting to open up a teeny tiny bit. He chirps a little more than when I first got him. How long did it take you to get yours to open up like that?
@krystalinownsurface It took about a month for my first bird to get used to my hand inside the cage. The more you're with them, the faster the process.
The newest budgie took like 2 weeks because the older budgies would climb on my hand and he got really curious! LOL. I can hand feed them all now, and let them fly around my room almost everyday.
@bluefalcon916 Oh. Well I just got a new one and she's really young. But Max, my first one, I've had him for a little over a month now and I keep the cage open all the time. The only problem with him is if he's in my room where his cage is he doesn't like coming to me. If I get him out of my room he has no problem with me.
