It's not ruined, but it took something from the scene and added something else. To different people it could be seen as a strengthening thing, or what you view it as (well, not quite at your level).

Even so, Bronson was still a bit reluctant to say what happened in the fan dub, so it's all good, in my opinion.

People who bitch about Ness and Lucas in SSB series obviously have never played any of the Mother games. Lucas was always the timid one of the 2 brothers in Mother 3. And actually, Lucas in SSBB is the Lucas from Chapters 1 - 3 of Mother 3. In chapter 4, he is appx 12 - 14 years old. in chapteres 1- 3 he is 9 or 11.

Poor kid gets his psyche all jacked up after his mother gets killed, his father loses his mind, his brother goes missing, and in 3 years his entire culture changes.

It is amazing how much emotion they manage to put in this. I am more than used to people dying in video games... a classic RPG cliche is having your mentor/father die. But, somehow Itoi managed to make this more than that... this is the only game than has ever moved me emotionally this much. It may be Japanese, but it is undoubtably one of, if not THE, greatest game of all time. With that, I take my leave.

It isn't that violent, you don't see anybody die, just hear about it. And Flint doesn't kill anybody, they all are fine, Flint wakes up in jail a few hours after he gets KO'ed there. Then his son gives him an apple, then Flint takes a big bite out of it, and there is a file in it. Flint uses that to escape the jail, but he is too late because Klaus tried to go kill Drago, but he gets killed, too.
