hi bettey its me again I have to ask just yesterday  I had bought an expencieve mixer its a 12 speed,,Iam going to make some cookies for my nephew hes in the army Im going to send the cookies to him,,heres my question by using a good mixer would that improve the flavor of what I make if its blended in a little better,,if the batter of what ever it is, is mixed up good would that also help with baking,,this mixer is a good one but it would be my luck to have everything splatter

@Dolphindream15 You may use an expensive mixer or a hand mixer. As long as the cookie dough is thoroughly mixed it will be fine.

I am not sure what is wrong but I am not getting the same information from this video on LuLus. I looked carefully and the new one in print is not available. I am not sure if it is my MAC computer. Sometimes there are differences. I will check again later. Maybe you want to see if it is right for you?

I will need to buy this new cook book. I down loaded the two other books I bought a while back and some how lost them. I rather have a hard copy anyway. Revised cooks books are normal. It is so nice that you and Rick let us into your kitchen almost every day. Having a cook book from some one we actually know and like is just a added bonus.

In turn, every collection book that we purchase from you from this year forward, will be the same for the first 120 pages for example. What if we purchase the collection book this year and the years following we only want the newest recipes from the previous year. How could we go about getting just the newest recipes If we don't want to buy an updated collection book every year that will essentially be the same for the majority of the book? Please respond.

@hvyweight20 I understand your concern. The alternative would be to have a third year, a fourth year, a fifth year,... I use these cookbooks myself. When I create a recipe or do a recipe I grew up with, I make sure the measurements are in the best proportion. However, I don't necessarily remember exactly whether a recipe worked well with 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper, so I look it up. Having created the recipes over a period of 2 years, I can't remember which cookbook to look in...

@bettyskitchen (cont.) so I look in each cookbook. After a period of 5 years or so, this would be quite cumbersome to anyone who remembers a recipe that they want to look up. I think it is neat and compact to have one index reference all of the recipes in bettyskitchen, and I don't have current plans to print further cookbooks year by year. I do plan to always have the recipe typed right under the video, so you can always reference that--and you can print those, if desired...

One solution that you might be able to do is put out one book every 3 years rather than updating it every year. That way, you can have "Betty'skitchen Collection vol. (x)." You would have less indexes to look through, and your customers won't feel like they are buying multiple copies of the same recipes. :-)

In turn, if we want the newest book everywhere, we will essentially being paying for the same 120 pages every year, with the addition of a small amount of new recipes.

Betty, just something to think about...Do you think its a good idea to do the idea of the collection. I don't think so. Simply because when someone purchases the new book this year. Then next year, if they want the newest recipes, they would have to purchase an updated version of the book, which in reality will be 75% of the same recipes with the addition of a small amount of new ones. It kinda seems silly to me.
