@JoeyFaustAGoGo This is a teaser trailer and the voice is not of John DiMaggio, who is portraying the voice of Panzram in the final film. The actor wanted to read it with a Western "twang" since Panzram traveled around the West and wast somewhat of a cowboy. His inflection is great though. Panzram was born in Minnesota but traveled around the U.S and the world. I have known people from the U.S. who moved to the U.K. for a couple of years and return with an English accent.
John Borowski is a thoroughly untalented "documentarist." His films about Holmes and Fish were horrendous. You people must be either friends of family.
To me, I feel sorry for every crime, since their young age was not their fault. Way back, they run away the age of 13 and 14, confused from right and wrong and turned over to evil heart. Whoever responsible harm the kid doesn't know, what to do and need protecting from somebody be safe and nothing happen. As I hope that he already went home with Lord will conversion him and peace as I pray in Lord's name, Jesus Christ. Especially him, Carl started 8 years old alcholic.

@TheSpiritualShow Here is an appropriate quote: "I was so busy committing sodomy that I did not have time to serve Jesus as I was taught in those reform schools."
If it was I who were going to die, I would say, "I wish all of humanity had but one neck, so I could break it." But you know what I mean. You know. What I mean. Why am I here? Nevermind. Never gonna give you up, Never gonna let you down.
For the winter i'm going to be buying phicological profileing and criminal profileing book (as it's what i want to do when i'm older) and i must say looking at Carl's autobiography he is such a fasinating person.
If i had met him i don't think i would be afraid in anyway, shap or form.
For some reason when I think of Carl Panzram I think of Daniel Day-Lewis in There Will Be Blood. They don't look all that much alike but it still sticks in my mind.
One look at his face and you can tell the hate and danger he held inside his mind.Remember his early life had alot to do with why turned out that way.Anyway who idolizes this man is nuts, but there is nothing wrong with being interested in serial killers. To me Panzram was more chilling than Charles Manson, too bad his story he not as well known.
Is it me or does Carl Panzram look slightly like Jude Law?
Mr Borowski, this is fucking EXCELLENT. I am thrilled to know that someone finally made this film, and hope you're able to finish it soon. The James Woods piece was a very respectable and even powerful piece of work, but those with a real interest in Panzram have been waiting for exactly THIS film.
I just finished the book and I can say I'm blown away, mainly because there are many serial killers who did waaayy waaayy less than Panzram and I've heard about almost all of them I would like to think.. I believe Panzram as he says to be a product of his environments, but I think there is something else about him I just can't put my finger on. Obviously no love for humanity, or his own life..no worries about afterlife, and most of all no remorse for anything.
Whoa that's a mean looking bastard. I heard something about him on an episode of Ghost Adventures, so I decided to look him up, and that face is not what I expected.
I can't think of any male actor that can get that 'I am hate' look in their eyes like Panzram has. The only female actress I have seen do it was Charlize Theron in 'Monster' and I think she was wearing dark contact lenses.
It is so weird to see profiles of Panzram. If I didn't know his history he could be a physicist or a billionaire. He exudes class in a profile shot. Then when I see him in a facial shot his eyes are bone chilling because, in a way, he is not there only the hate is there.
I read about him a few years back and still want to read the book. I found the story very interesting and wonder why you never hear anything about him. Look forward to seeing your film!
cant wait for this to come out, currently reading the book and find it fascinating, cant put the book down, will come in handy when i do my criminology and psychological studies degree :-) keep up the good work and keep us posted
I really admire your work, especialy Albert Fish documentary is one of my favourites, and I can't wait to see Panzram, but I have to ask you a question. Because in my opinion, you are the only director who takes topic of serial killers seriously in your movies, is there any chance in future years for you to make a doc about Ed Gein, because all the docs I watched to this day about Gein didn't satisfied me ? I really think that story about Ed Gein deserves to be told in a way that you do it.
Thank you for the kind words. I do have an intense interest in Gein. The best film on him is Deranged, and even that is not the best. I did some initial research years ago and chose to make a film on Fish rather than Gein as I felt there was not enough material for a documentary. No one is really left from the case who could be interviewed. But now that I relocated back to Chicago, I may visit Plainfield and conduct research for key items I am seeking.
Should be interesting. More people need to know about Carl Panzram and how he sodomized one thousand men. Not because he was homosexual but just to degrade a humiliate them in the worst way.
Be sure and gather up the kiddos real close to the TV to watch this one.
People who are obsessed with evil personified like this douchebag leave me wondering ... with so many wonderful artists, writers, and creative souls in the world ... why spend so much time and effort getting your cookies off promoting some dead rumpwrangler like Panzram?
Because if you bother to look this poor guy up you'll see that he was a victim too. If we can understand him, perhaps there's hope for the future to prevent further killers being created by cruelty in childhood.
actually he was an extreme case of misanthropy KiegUndFaustrecht... but he was wrong, what he did changed nothing but to be remembered... this is not true misanthropy... if I could have the chance to push a button of massive extinction I would in that very moment but this is not going to happen so I don't worry about that... his vision was clear but his modus was useless...
i read about alot of serial killers but panzram to me is the most deadliest of them all when he was getting excuted he crushed a mans skull b4 they hung him i heard it was a laundry man
No, he was executed because he crushed a laundryman's skull. The laundryman was known to write prisoners up for every petty infraction imaginable. Infractions could get people in serious trouble including serious ass-kickings. The guy wrote Panzram up.
Panzram used a large metal bar which was propping up the laundry crate and swung it repeatedly at the head of the laundryman smashing his skull numerous times.
With all the emphasis on the pathetic specimens known as Manson, Bundy, and Gein receiving inordinate amounts of attention from the media, it's about time Panzram's story is to be told to a wider audience. But let's not sensationalise him with cheeseball merchandise a la Manson's mug on a shirt; instead, learn from him. The world helps create a monster, and then it is aghast that such a monster would act on its instincts. Heed Dr. Menninger's proclamation: "Hate breeds hate".
I'm halfway through the book now and it's as fascinating as it is sad. Sad because even more than 75 years later, people haven't learned anything from Panzram's case and keep on creating hate-filled machines like him. Panzram became what the prison and reform system made of him and he had no say whatsoever in all of this.
Looks great! I've read the book 'Panzram A Journal of Murder' and I have a LOT of sympathy for the poor guy. He really had no choice about how he turned out. As an added bonus it also sports Joe Coleman's brilliant portrait on the cover.
No matter what....there is always a choice. Saying there is no choice is like saying that the devil made me do it. We choose to do it or we choose not to do it. Whatever it may be.
why is the voice actor for Panzram reading his lines with a fake southern accent, Panzram was born in Minnesota.
