@vtep1 Problem came back at another RPM, I check connections inside the distributor, those little wire connectors tightened them and advanced the timing a bit and it all went away. Flawless. Not sure which one solved the problem.
@MrBS4 You need to wire the tach with a few wires... one has to connected to the distributor coil, one is for battery power (unswitched and always on) This is to hold memory of the led backlit color u have chosen, one is ignition power and one is ground. I tapped into the fusebox for all my power, such as, cigarrete lighter circuit turns the tach on, Marker light circuit turns on the backlight, etc
hey bro my 91 civic is having the same exact problem i cant figure it out either have you fixed yours yet send me something if you have to clayhessler@yahoo.com
@b18c1mien Rebuilt the engine had some problems, but still have that stupid problem lolz so I know it's sensors lolz, I might just do a mpfi swap it might go away I don't feel like dealing with it, but it did get worse it now does it like 40mph
@somedudeandacomp Problem was the ECM.... the previous owner had a pm9 for a d15b1 engine and 4 sp trans, mine is a d15b2 with a 5 speed trans, I needed the pm5... all my problems went away

How do you install the tachometer to the car? Did you drag a cable all the way from transmission?
